Crashed....not on the ninja

So does it count?
Was going home from work on the Vespa on Friday night & ii still dont remember much of the accident,happened so fast.
2 lane road with cement divider,i was doing around 80 km in the right lane,no other traffic when all of a sudden i see this assehole in front of me!
Came out of a side street on the left & was coming the wrong direction,the only thing i can think of is that he was going back the wrong way to get to the break in the barrier to get to the other side of the road.
I dont think i even had time to break,shifted left & instead of being a head on sort of slid & bounced on the side.Next thing i remember is still hanging on to the bars,sliding & spinning along the road,when i finally stopped i was still in a sitting position,although laying down & i think this helped to sort of protect me legs from road rash.I have a slight rash on the right ankle & dislocated right shoulder from hittng the road.
Very minimal scratches on my helmet & i dont even think i hit my head.
The most damage was to my right hand,i am assuming from the other bike impact,i remember looking at my fingers thinking something is wrong as several fingers were bent & twisted !
After some security loaded me into a van & took me to the hospital turns out 2 fingers with open fractures & a dislocation,had some wires,plates & screws inserted during surgery on Saturday morning.
Back at home now feeling sorry for myself now the bruises etc are becoming evident.
Bike is pretty badly scratched up but can be repaired...it could easily have been so much worse so i am thankfull.
The worst thing........the guy on the other bike took off,maybe drunk.

Wow. Sorry you have the hand injuries, but by the sounds of it, you got off fairly easy. Ugh, the ****-head will get what's coming to him!

Sorry to read about so many things going wrong in a few seconds.

Any slide over pavement at 50 mph beats any heads on collision, but it is still serious business: I believe that the outcome was much better that it could have been.

Hope your hand heals well and fast, ..... anything else is secondary.

Thanks for the wishes,never imagined how difficult daily tasks can be with just some broken fingers,first time for any broken bones & hopefully the last.
I realize how fortunate & lucky i was.
The wires came out last night,a little swollen & sore,back at work & back on the Vesp.
Cant wait to get out on the Ninja but that will have to wait until i feel the hand is strong enough.
