Tail bag fits the Ninja 250r perfectly!

Nelson Rigg CL-1060 Sport Tail/Seat Bag <--- Link to product

I was searching for a tail bag that would be able to fit my lunch box, hold a few other items, and look good. This tail bag works great.

I was able to secure it to the seat, avoiding the need to tie it down to the rear fender and passenger peg supports. It works great, I am able to put it on and take it off in seconds.

It is expandable and includes a built in rain cover ( I might remove this because it takes up space in the bag).

Nice find. How many items could you fit when it's fully expanded?

I just received the bag today and so far have only had my Lunch Box in it.

According to motorcyclegear.com they were able to fit the "Commuter Package" and the "Day Ride Package".

It has a pouch on the inside of the lid/top. The rain cover really takes up a lot of space, so that might go.

Beware of fading, maybe find some extra uv protectant and coat it like crazy. I have the cl saddlebags and after a couple weeks in the sun they started turning purple. Now I only use them when needed rather than having the extra space all the time.

You're welcome! I have not commuted with it yet, I'll let you know how it holds up.

Thanks for the heads up. I plan on using the bag for commuting to work where I will take if off my bike and bring inside for the day. That will reduce a lot of the exposure to the sun.

Have you used a UV protectant that you could recommend?

Doesn't look any bigger than the stock Kawasaki tail bag (online as low as $64). I have one and love it. Perfect fit, holds it's shape, won't move, expands up for extra room.

Is this the Kawasaki tail bag that you're talking about?

Tail Bag
@Kevin if it's the one conrya linked above, the CL appears to expand to 15 liters as opposed to the Kawasaki's 8.

@conrya5 How has the tank bag been working out for you?

I finally chose the CL-1060...

An excellent choice... It fits very well on the passenger seat and it stays in place admirably. I recommend it... Been able to fit my lunch, a pair of long gloves, a rain coat and I didn't have to expend it...

Thanks Ryan for the tip!

No problem!

It is perfect for commuting and good for a half day trip.

The built in rain cover is nice but takes up valuable space inside the bag. I've been thinking about removing it and finding somewhere else to store it on the bike.

Any issues with fading so far? I've been looking at adding more storage as well.

I have not had any fading issues. I use this bag for commuting to work and bring it inside with me. I haven't let it sit out in the sun.

This bag is great for short trips.

Mine is still in pristine shape...

But, I've used it 3 times so far, two overnight rides and one when we were sure to get rained on (I was carrying my rain gear in it).

So the sun never had a chance to work on it...
