Straps w/ fender eliminator

I'll be going camping in a few weeks and want to take the ninjette. After realizing I can't install a top case mount w/ the fender eliminator I have, I've decided just to strap down my bags. I've noticed everybody attaches their straps to the passenger pegs. Buuuut I don't have those.

I'm thinking I'll just wraps the straps around the undertail. Anybody have any reasons why that wouldn't be a good idea?

How much stuff as you carrying? You should have at least 2 anchor points, just in case your cargo slides towards the narrow end of the tail. You can also do like it do when it comes to cargo space.

It's just a weekend trip, so I'll just be bringing my tent and a duffle of necessities. Not too much at all. I guess my theory was if I tie the straps tight enough around the undertail, the cargo wouldn't have a chance to move around. It looks like I'll have 2 anchor points on the fender eliminator but that's about it

You can run flat straps under and around the passenger seat too.
