Hey Guys,
Im running a 110 front and a 150 rear on my race 250. What pressures are recommended for a hot tire?

Yeah I've been running between 26-28psi in the rear tire depending on the track & temp. Found that dropping the pressure helps a bit when the track is bumpy or slippery but the higher pressure makes it a little more predictable.

Steven that lower than the pirelli recommended pressure of 31 hot I run 29 hot with the pirelli which is what my champ runs what works for him must work for me. I will note that you probably don't push the tires to the limit as hard as him or Bartlow does those tires are uber sticky

That chatter is suspension related not the tires. We will get it fixed when your up here next month.

Holy crap! I have been running mine around 28/29 cold or 34/34 off the warmers. I had no idea I could run them that low.
Are you guys running the 28 or 26 hot pressures experiencing any negative side effects? I like stable and predictable (who doesn't in a tire), but my stable predictable bike just chattered it's front tire off of the track last weekend and I'm looking for ways to avoid it in the future. Running 110/140 for what it's worth and the tires have about 12 track/race days on them. -Sean |
