not a bad deal but thats a lot of miles with some moderate problems. If your willing to wait, look around, and pay $400-$800 more u can get 3rd gen. in good condition w/ 4,000-8,000 miles.
I just picked up a 08 ninja 250 w/ 2,000 miles for $1900 on C.L. . The bike seems perfect other than a few minor scratches ( but couldn't take it for a ride due to wrist injury and lack of experience). It has 15 tooth front sprocket, blacked out windscreen, custom exhaust, and a extra new battery. ( got lucky, a steal I think ) As far as what he said about insurance: That is probably the state minimum. I look around w/ minimum liabilty and $5,000 coverage for medical and very clean record/credit $300-$-500 and could be a lot more. |

 That's not for me, I have a bike...  You got a nice deal on your bike...  Lots of extra money to get good gear...
