modified counter shaft cover, GP shift

for sale: our modified counter shaft cover that has the bottom part milled away, thus allowing use of the stock shift mechanism in GP mode (with lever flipped). Can also be used in standard shift mode. $20

Interesting, could you explain what you mean by the shift mechanism in gp mode?

Um I don't get it at all. So the clutch handlever is on backwards? Or the clutch is normally disengaged and only engages while the clutch lever is held? Or something else?

yep, and the rear brake is connected the throttle!

instead of pushing up on the shift lever to go up, you push down on the shift lever to go up. it's because people get used to doing things backwards because of countersteering, so they want their shifting backwards too

by swapping the linkage on the shifter, it requires a downward motion to upshift, thus making it easier to change gears while accelerating out of a corner due to foot clearance (foot's now ON TOP of the shift lever).

Instead of clicking up to upshift, and down to downshift, it's.....

....click down to upshift, and click up to downshift.

(1-up, 5 down instead of 1-down, 5 up).

so then the rear brake is automatically applied once you let off the throttle. and with the upside down shifting the clutch is always in so you can just change gears whenever you want!... right?
