Those motogp guys have the skills (and the tires) to lean over at 60 degrees. they need the ground clearance.
99.99999 percent of us don't. |

Well yeah, they're amazing! I don't get it either! But when Yamaha raises the seat, there's more space to cram things in and shorten the wheelbase to make a better handling bike.

Also: totally love the cute little storage spot in the boot of the new ninjette! Odd place for them to put the key to access it... I'm guessing the key-hole will fill with dirt flicked up from the tyres.

If R15s see a good market there, then it can surely come to US. However, I doubt how many takers will be there for the R15.(considering Ninja 250 is considered an entry level bike there)

did anyone actually think that the cbr 250 was going to take sales from the ninja 250? everyone keeps talking about it but I really don't think Honda took anything if much from our ninjette. The new 2013 ninja 250 is really nice But to me my 250 is my 250 I'm not going to get just 'replaces it. It has become a part of me and replacing it is like cutting off my arm and selling it to get a slightly better arm than mine just as good if not better wwith the practice and strength it has achieved. But that is just my opinion. In would not want to part with greenyCarrotfour at all. I'm also off my four e so sry for urun ons n spelling.

I think the 08-12 Ninja 250 wins in looks & performance, but the CBR 250 wins when it comes to modern instrument cluster, FI, gas mileage and ABS option With the 2013 redesign the Ninja still wins in looks & perf, but now it also has a modern instrument cluster and ABS option so the only edge that the CBR 250 has is FI & gas mileage (probably the price too since it'll be hard to get a deal on a 2013 Ninja lol) KTM is looking to release a 350cc bike in 2014 so if Yamaha decides to enter the market then the competition will be crazy

Ummmm... fuel injection (they better not dare try to give the US a gimped ass carbed unit this time), optional ABS brakes, multi-staged intake for more precise throttle control, better cooling, and redesigned exhaust aren't different from the 2008-2012? There is more to the bike than just looks man.

According to the owner he used to test the previous one result between 24 and 25 hp fresh from the factory. So it's mild improvement.

Unlike the US, we consider the CBR, and Ninja as premium level bikes. About KTM 350, it is scheduled to manufactured in India by mid 2013.. Here is the English version o the Dyno test by TMC blog http://translate.google.com/translat...250%2F&act=url

Ok #1. Y U NO MAKE TORQUE CURVE NORMAL!?!? I can live with it though Just noticed that the EFI bike's torque is in newton meters and the carbed bike is in ft lbs. 1.000 ft*lb = 1.355 N*M And so the max torque of the EFI bike is 13.069 ft*lbs which is actually less than the 13.27 ft*lbs of the carbed version. However it appears that the EFI torque doesn't drop off as quickly and results in a little extra hp and a more usable top end. So it looks like the EFI bike is all around faster than the carb bike at stock. Can't wait to see what a fully tuned supergen can do

Hello Taufik,
do I read this right, that the rev-limit is 11800 rpm now? And do you know the setup of ignition from the 2013 Ninja? The 2008 has 10 deg. at 1300 rpm and 38 deg. at 6000 rpm. The dynos from the older versions look different, they go to higher revs. Thank you and have a safe ride Last futzed with by Somchai; September 6th, 2012 at 10:09 PM. |

The red line or the top of the power band is 11800 rpm. The rev limit (when the ignition shuts off )is 13500. If the new ignition is at 38 deg then they moved it up from 35 deg. First Jen bikes had it at 42 with a 15000 rpm limit.
What they have done is advance the timing to give more torque. The factory boys must read this forum. Haha |

"Test bike was a 2010 model with 939 miles on the odometer. The three graphs compare the OEM system, Area P Full Standard System, and new Area P Mid-High Mount Race System with 18" Muffler & Turn Down Exit Tip; all on the same test bike. The OEM airbox was removed, K&N Dual Flange Oval Air Filter and Crankcase Breather Element installed, Kleen System removed/plugged, along with *Area P/Dynojet Jet kit installed. The power increase is very strong from 3000 rpm to 12250 rpm. As noted, emphasis was primarily placed on throttle response and power above 8500 rpm to a peak of 12250 rpm. You will notice that at peak power (12250 rpm), the Race System is more than 10.5 hp (+33%) over the OEM exhaust, and 2.4 hp (+ 8%) over the Area P Standard system. Actual throttle response was also dramatically improved. Specific jetting instructions are included with the installation/tuning manual. "
