[motorcycle.com] - Camaraderie Is Focus Of Week 3 Of AMA Go Ride! Month

The American Motorcyclist Association is celebrating the community-building nature of motorcycling during AMA Go Ride Together Week, April 18-24 — the third week of AMA Go Ride! Month.

“Whether you are racing for trophies or riding for fun, motorcycling is almost always better with friends,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “This week, we want to highlight how motorcycles bring people together, whether that is the broader motorcycling community banding together to defend their rights, families and friends traveling the racing circuit or networks of friends enjoying fun rides.”

Experience motorcycling the social way: with others. Connect with clubs and go on group rides.

While you’re at it, you could win a 10S Dual Kit from Sena Technologies, the AMA’s partner for Go Ride Together Week. The Sena 10S is an upgraded version of the original SMH10 system. The 10S supports four riding companions up to 1 mile away. And it can communicate with all Sena and non-Sena Bluetooth headsets on the market.

“Sena is thrilled to continue our partnership with the AMA and help celebrate AMA Go Ride! Month,” said Sena CEO and Founder Tae Kim. “This week’s theme is particularly special to us because riding together and riding ‘connected,’ as we like to say, is a huge part of enjoying our passion for the ride.

“Bringing the riding community together and allowing for communication to enhance the fun and safety of riding is what Sena is all about,” Kim said. “Many thanks to the AMA for allowing us to support this message and we hope everyone goes out there and rides!”

AMA members and other riders are invited to share photos and engage with the AMA on social media, or simply enter a drawing. Details will be shared at both www.facebook.com/americanmotorcyclist and through the AMA Twitter account @ama_riding.

Every April, the AMA highlights cool stuff to do on two wheels as part of AMA Go Ride! Month. It is the annual reminder that motorcycling is the best way to go to work, go out on the town, go see the country or just go have fun. Each week features a new opportunity to win a cool prize from an AMA partner.

To learn more about AMA-sanctioned events and the AMA-chartered organizers that make them happen, see the AMA website at www.americanmotorcyclist.com.

AMA members also can plan a great individual ride using the AMA Great Roads Database or AMA Trails Atlas.

The AMA State Laws charts help you make sure you follow the local rules of the road or trail, while street and off-highway rider resource pages provide great tips for new and veteran riders.

Current and future racers can learn everything they need to know in the racing section of the AMA website, as well.
