Noise under braking

Hey guys,

Just recently I hear some clicking noise while braking on the 08 250r with front brake applied. I don't think I hear this noise before although it might have been there but i wasn't paying attention (although i don't think so)...It's a faint "click click click" sound only be heard when front brake is applied (I didn't use the rear brake to elim possible causes). I checked the front brake/pads/rotor, everything looks good. The bike has never been laid down, no accident etc. I'm thinking it's the speedo/cable mechanism...although no sound is heard unless I when front brake is applied and bike is slowing down to a complete stop from say like 50mph. When bike is moving, in neutral coasting..no sound..but brake applies, then a faint clicking sound is heard. Sometimes the sound goes away like when I pulled over for fill up and took off & brake, no more sound..then it came back after another trip. Sounds like it's intermittent ? any idea what's going on? thanks for the input.

yes. I guess it's "normal" then
Sorry i didn't spot that thread in the search.

yup..sound like if you stick a piece of plastic into a rotating fan or wheel..it's make that constant interval ticking sound...Kinda weird that i just started to hear it now (or does it just got worse/louder?)
any idea what it is though? I don't think it's from the rotor/pad/caliber as the pad thickness is still good and no binding.

Not sure, myself. Perhaps reseat the speedo cable by completely unplugging it and then replugging it, and make sure that the cable itself is routed properly so it doesn't drag on anything when the suspension is compressed. If everything still seems a-ok and the noise is still there, get better earplugs.
