Knox Aegis Back protector Review
Below is my review of the Knox Aegis back protector. I figured I would throw this up since I have had my back protector for a few months.
Some pictures: Putting it on: To make sure it is comfortable you should undo the 2 Velcro tighteners on either side that go over the kidney protectors (Has the red Knox logo on them in the picture of the front). Then put the main strap around your waist loosely. After the main strap is Velcroed you Velcro the 2 side adjusters to tighten it as needed. I feel it is just fine being fairly loose. This takes less than a minute to put on. Comfort: This back protector is very comfortable and light. Once you have it on, you can barley feel it is there. I am about 5' 10" BTW. There is no stiffness of your back, it conforms you your position. Protection: It is CE level 2 which is the highest rating. Overall it is much better than the alpinestars jacket insert, which is pretty much like a plank in your jacket. I wear this every time I go riding with the exception of short trips under 50mph... Any comments or questions let me know! |
