Anyone else have one of these POS?

If so what did you do about spark plug issue?
Did you try and change them yourself or just fork over the cash to a dealership?

For any who don't know
This year of the Fords V8 with 3valve design came with spark plugs that are notorious for breaking off inside the head when trying to remove them. They can break in 2 different ways as well which is great.

Lots of horror stories of people taking vehicle to dealer and getting $1500-$3000 service bills because mechanic broke one off and it fell into cylinder and they had to remove cylinder head.

My truck is due for spark plug change and I am weighing things out. Need to call some dealers and get quotes before I decide to risk it myself.

I don't think I'm a lot dumber than you thought that I think that I thought I was once.

Do they recommend putting anti-seize on them when re-installed, or does that make it worse?
