Pillion Seat

My bike came with a seat cowl attached. The cowl goes on and comes off easily, but I can't get the pillion seat to attach. I can see the slot on the seat and the bit of metal that it's supposed to slide into, but I can't make them connect.

Anyone here have tips for attaching the pillion seat?

Anyone else had trouble with theirs?

Thanks

Does a part get removed from the rear seat and attached to the cowl in order to fit the cowl to the bike? I don't know why, but I was thinking you had to transfer a component from the seat to the cowl in order to use a cowl.

I'm probably wrong though, I don't have a cowl.

I don't think so.

The cowl connects to the bike in a different way to the seat, it has these vertical poles that slot in to the rear part of the bike. It doesn't have the horizontal slot that the seat has.

well if it has the slot on the seat and the metal hook on the bike then it should attach fine...i will say that it is hard to get on sometimes though. just make sure the hook is all the way into that slot on the bottom of the seat

It's sorted now. I had to bend the seat a bit in the middle in order to get it to slide into the slot.

Yep that's the one. Really nice shot. Beautiful autumn forest and a lush green ninjette I've just been out for a Sunday morning ride. Wish I was there instead!
