Cat Crap

So I was having trouble with the inside of my helmet visor fogging up when I would be stopped at stop lights. When I'm actually going, I have not problem at all, the wind flow keeps the visor as clear as can be. I know all I have to do is lift the visor up a tad to provide ventilation, but I like to ride with mine completely shut. So I did a little research with our helpful friend google and discovered Cat Crap. It's an anti-fog lens cleaner for ski goggles and what not, but I heard it also worked great for motorcycle visors. So I picked up a small container for about $5.50 and took ~5 min to apply it and it works great! I sat with my helmet on breathing heavily for about 5 min. (if you didn't know what I was doing, you probably could have swore I was having an asthma attack! haha! ) and it didn't fog up even once. So, I just thought I'd pass this info along. I'm sure many of you know about this product, but maybe some of you don't. Very worth it IMO.

Jake,

Not a problem. I'm glad you posted about your experience. After my ride this morning, I'm definitely getting some, along with a wiper blade or 2 for my glove. I went out for a ride after 3 days of rain (not riding in the rain) and I couldn't get the water off the outside of my visor. The inside was fogged worse than it did all winter.

From the review:

Cat Crap: What's In A Name?

"Cat Crap was named for the Caterpillar equipment used to haul skiers and boarders up to the tops of mountains that have no lifts. These are some of the hard-core slopes, for some of the hard core snow bums. I have some Cat Crap lip moisturizer!"

No worries, I know that even when people do use the search, there's a good chance they won't find what they're looking for. The vbulletin search engine does have some limitations, the largest one being that it won't find most 3-letter words to keep the search index reasonable...

is there a way to modify it so it can search 3 letter words or less if you enter them into an exceptions list?

Available at Eastern Mountain Sports

Found the Cat Crap at an EMS store less than 6 miles from home.

Short answer, no. Long answer, yes, if you go back to vbulletin old style search instead of the direct mysql search, but it requires such significantly higher processing power (as it is terribly inefficient) to the extent that ISP's would be antsy about continuing to host a forum on a shared server, as this one is.

okay, thanks... I know I had seen other forums make exceptions to some short words, but that was quite awhile ago, which also likely explains why most forums now days don't have that ability.
