i wonder if you could simply put a ball bearing in the top so its air tight, but then a plug over that with a hole in it so that a vacuum or backpressure could push/pull the ball bearing up and down, but it would stay sealed and the ball couldn't escape completely because of the plug

An appropriate sized screw would work as a plug too. Maybe get another tube clamp to make extra sure the plug is secure.

Alright, did lots of stuff recently.
ZX-6R headlights! Still no high beams for me because I'm bad at dealing with electrical issues and I probably need to aim it a little better but it works. Fairing stay was tweaked from crash. Finally got a brand new one so I won't have to struggle with putting the fairings on anymore and so the front end actually looks straight lol. Also discovered that one of the metal loops on the tweaked fairing stay had actually rusted off over time. Oops. (I bought the fairing stay from https://www.facebook.com/pages/Motor...8870?ref=br_tf and it was really cheap even after including the international shipping. Ordering isn't the easiest thing since you have to email the guy with part numbers but damn it was cheap.) Old one on top, new one on bottom. Wait, something's missing... Oh there it is. PDM60 for my accessories. Yay for much safer wiring. The ability to program it is cool. Also finally threw in the battery tender lead since I cleaned up my battery bolt space with the PDM60. R6 throttle tube. Definitely a noticeable difference.

That would actually be very easy. People have been doing that for a while on all sorts of bikes. Your really just running a jumper wire from one bulb to the other. As long as both bulbs are dual filament it Will work. The only one other thing is some headlights are built to project the light higher on one side than the other.
If I had a ninja 300 to use I'd be glad to do a write up with pics but I don't know anyone with one. |

Yep the reflectors are different on each side. And as I mentioned, there's no change in aim when you change low/high like that. The lights will still be pointed in the same direction. Not necessarily helpful.

Yeah most bikes are like that, the Gen 1 ZX-10rs were like that but I still wired mine and a buddys to have dual lights on. |

Regardless, it looks better than monochrome. I would paint the fairing upper green, the tail white, and seat piece green, get one unbroken line of white on the bottom half of the bike.

Nah that's the oem pearl white paint and it would be too hard to do that myself. And one of those tail pieces used to be oem pearl white until I painted it green hahaha. I'll probably eventually get all of it green again. Maybe throw in some blue accents.

Fox shock installed! Dropped the OEM shock on my pinky while removing it and that hurt like hell. Haven't ridden on it yet cuz it took me so long to finish working. Getting the undertail on and off is such a pain in the ass, not helped by the amount of the stuff i have wired on the bike lol. I'll see how it feels in the morning.

I took a better picture in sunlight. The person who does suspension set up at the shop I went to wasn't there so I'll have to do it another time. Doesn't feel bad as it is now though. I just put it at Fox's recommended starting point.

It was already better handling than the FZ. I probably didn't NEED any suspension upgrades on the 300 but I like to keep tinkering I really need to do something about the FZ's suspension because it is not confidence inspiring at all.

Started bixenon retrofit. So far I've already spent way too many hours cursing while opening the headlight unit, had a screwdriver slip and cut my face making it bleed, and completely destroyed an important part from inside the headlight unit that can't be bought by itself. Project on hold until I can find a way to 3D print that part...
Thank goodness I didn't sell off the stock headlights yet.

eh. it needs to be snug though. was apparently a bit too snug when i was putting it on, hence the cracking. i could try epoxy but i'd need to find the other half first. no idea where it when cuz it split violently lol.
