Headlight Problem
I thought I read something similar to the problem I am having awhile back but could not find the thread.
Anyway my headlight's do not come on when the key is in the on position like they should. They do come on when the bike is started. My guess is a blown fuse but I really don't know, so thought I would ask the experts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Maybe your right. I could have sworn they came on before I started the bike but maybe I'm just getting old and senile.

If you use the kill switch, the light stays on! Although the MSF teaches one to use the kill switch, I use the ignition switch for that reason, to turn off everything.

That's 100% normal. Mine also does not come on until the bike is started. Also another poster said the same thing with his bike when he tried to restart it while in motion. (the panic stop gets panicky thread)
Also, think about it, if it were a blown fuse it would not come on at all, now would it? Nope, blown fuse would put a 100% complete open in the circuit keeping the light off in hi or low beam with engine on or off. (sorry, sarcasm and ribbing don't come across that well online) |

Np Short term memory loss is a problem for me lol. It was my cruiser that the light came on with the key I think lol. Only reason I asked it was dark and I was thinking it should be on when the key is in and everything else is on. But it also could have been as stated before the cut off switch was used. I stopped using it because I was told it could wear out easily.
