That's pretty trick!

I was just thinking of bracing the factory arm with Columbus tubing and using a 4.5" rear wheel... Gonna have to do some weighing....

The 650R 4.5" rear wheel fits fine with thinner spacers. A 150 rear tyre is max as wider rubs chain. Not sure how they're fitting wider wheels, unless they put all extra width on right side.

An EX500 3.0" front wheel also fits, giving better support for radial tyres...

Yes, I'm piecing together my 250 Superbike machine for next season. Would be nice to be in races with more than 10 people!

You've done the 650 rear wheel? Please show me your setup if so.

Got all the parts coming in after researching. The N300 4.0" wheel is direct bolt-on, but if I'm going to get bumped into 250 Superbike for the upgrade, I might as well maximize it (along with Turbo and/or 2T engine). The swingarm on 650 is 13mm wider, so we have to remove 13mm from its wheel+spacer combo. Here's what I'm going to do:

- 17x4.5" 650 rear wheel + center spacer
- 650 cush-drive & sprocket
- 650 brake-disc

- N250R wheel-bearings
- N250R left spacer
- N250R inner-right spacer
- N250R brake-carrier

Process goes something like this:

- replace 650 bearings with N250R bearings
- mill 6.5mm off left-spacer
- mill 6.5mm off outside end of brake-carrier
- install

There may be some measurements I may be missing, such as sprocket/chain-offset on 650. So I'll compare when all pieces come in.

Here's good thread on customizing spacers, cush-drives and brake-rotors for wheel swaps.
https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/...d.php?t=187446

If you don't have your own mini-lathe, these guys can supply custom spacers
http://www.flattrackaccessories.com/FWheel.shtml

Depending upon load (weight, power, speed, etc.), making spacers from aluminium can save some weight, but can allow flexing and uneven bearing wear. Titanium is a good metal with densities, modulus and strength right in-between steel and aluminium. Bracing swingarm can help reduce this flex as well.

I've fit the wheel in the swingarm, but just barely. I think that the sprocket carrier will need to be milled down as well. I did that when I put the SV650 wheel in the 86 ninja swinger on my CB550F

I gave up on it, but if you need a swinger or wheel, I have them laying around

*edit*
I knew I had taken pictures at some point.

Contacted them before to purchase items for my bike. Thought that it would be cheaper since Malaysia is just beside Indonesia and boy i thought wrong! It seems buying directly from USA is far cheaper than from Indonesia!

Ah, thanks. I figured I'd have to move the sprocket inwards by at least same amount left-spacer was shaved down. Simple enough remove studs and mill that down.

Only $260 although the shipping and handling would probably be a bit steep

If you want a drop in alloy swingarm that's stronger & better than the skinny steel one that comes with it, then a KR1-S one drops right in. I fitted KR1-S front & rear to my ZZR250.

The pivot bolt on mine is 16mm the new SA is 20mm, I used a piece of stainless 20mm OD 16mm ID tube to make up the difference. I fitted a VTR250 rear wheel to match the KR 17" front (KR rears are 18") this setup will take up to a 160 tyre, but I'm on the stock ZZR 140 rear tyre. You need to make up so spacers to get the alignment for chain & I added a torque block to the swinger for the brake stay.

Hello, this probably is a late reply but better than none
Talking about Delkevic swingarm and wheels set, it is the main recipe for Indonesian Ninja 250/300 modification, around 60% of member in my Ninja250 Community in my town apply Delkevic sets on their bike

Costs us around
$200 - swing arm (up to 6.0)
$350 - front 3.5 inches and read 5.5 inches wheels
$250 - 120/60 and 180/55 tyres

bigger rear sprocket is recommended, since changing swing arm and bigger wheel and tire might add some weight. Just add $100 for sprox and chain

Delkevic bigger wheels set is the most popular product in my country, can be easily found in local motorcycle mods shop, the mechanics on the shop would install those parts for you, and you could just sit down, relax while drinking iced tea.

Talking about the payment, yes it's going to be difficult because they are using local bank transfer method instead of Paypal, and sorry to say, I'm quite familiar with the shop you showed on above pic, it's a little bit overpriced, but if you're okay with that then it's a green light for ya. You might want to try to contact "MotoChief" which the contact can be found on Instagram (just search motochief) and send a direct message. Indonesian shops are not familiar with websites, mainly because it's not free, and social media like Instagram can be accessed easily and freely by Indonesian.

I'm telling you, Asia (especially Thai and Indonesia) is your motorcycle mods heaven, trust me

no this thread isn't dead. we need members to come forth and show indonesia is doing cutting edge mods to the 250 ninja. maybe the 60% you mention will join this forum. i will keep digging into how to pay by contacting these pay institutions and navigating payment options. would be great if a shop knew peeps in the usa are interested in buying their products.

That swingarm is way more than I need. What I do want is two sets of V-Rossi wheels in 17x3.0/4.5".

I think we can pay a fee for someone to organize an LCL shipment.

Hey BernawanFR, nice seeing you here. Can't you advice them on how to set up a PayPal account? I could see that this is a good business opportunity here for the American market. Maybe Ninjette could also be the authorized distributors for all these mods.

Hmmm, design flaw on that swingarm. Needs an additional gusset connecting bend in brace to swingarm.

Hey there mate, it's been a while
The first thing I'm gonna do is to ask whether the shop has Paypal account or not. If they don't own one, I'll make sure to talk to the owner that American and prolly European market are willing buy.
