Gonna keep pushing this til it's done.
Turn the bars to the right so the inlet for the reservoir fluid is at the top.

Zip tie the lever to the bars overnight, maybe two nights.

See if that firms your lever up.

Thank you, already tried that for at least a week. Earlier today I put about 200 cc of brake fluid through a giant injection needle through the reservoir and out both calipers. Still mushy. The master is from a 2002 zzr 600, pretty much all it could be.

Disassembled and cleaned out master, rear seal is worn front seal was ok. Amazon K&L kit did not fit. I am working with All Balls on getting the right kit.
This master is a Nissin 4v 14mm

Rebuilt front master, made brackets for front brake lines, rear and front master, exhaust hanger, tray for electricals, speedo sensor, wired headlight and front turn signals, wired stop light. I need to cut seat mount coolant overflow and cut seat. She will be road ready but still a work in progress. : )
