Pre-gen (2007 and older) and "new pre-gen" (2008-2012) frames

Any one know if the the 2007 and older frames are the same as the 2008-2012 frames?

The new frame has been redesigned. 40 percent stiffer. And the back half is made to acomadate the new bodywork.
