is it me or are the mirrors rediculous? I can't seem to get the right angle to see anything/

Same here. This week seemed particularly bad.

Every single time I got on the bike this week I kept fussing with the stock mirrors trying to get a better angle.

When I'd be stopped at a red light, I'd fuss with them some more.

Actually riding through the parking lot at work, I fussed with one of them again.

Don't know if I was to install extenders or just deal with it.

I always turn my head (and shoulder) to take a quick look behind me when doing a lane change or when stopped. But sometimes I just want to see what's behind me as I'm going down the road.

Is it a drunk driver? LEO? Punk kids?

Biking has made me paranoid.

For the life of me I don't understand why so many people have issues with their mirrors. I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs (by no means a small guy and I can easily adjust my mirrors so that they look into the lane next to me on either side. I check the mirror and then turn my head and upper body to change lanes. Maybe I can't see directly behind me in my mirrors... but if I need to see that, that bad... I guess I would get the circular blind spot mirrors

I have the same problem. We have different body types, seating position, etc. So some have the issue and others don't. I have to move my elbows in when checking my mirrors. These bikes are skinny and have short mirrors. Some people put blindspot mirrors on, others have mentioned that they picked up used Ninja 650 mirrors and put them on. (They are longer) Some (with more $) have even fitted rear facing video cameras that go in the license plate light. There are a number of things that can be done if you have this problem. I just move my elbows in.

I can adjust the mirrors to see the lanes on either side of me just fine, the problem I have is I still want to see directly behind me.

When doing lane changes on the Interstate I check both my mirrors, put my turn signal on, and then turn my head to look into the lane I'm going to change into and change if it's clear. As I'm changing, I check my side mirror.

What's happened to me a few times is the car following directly behind me decides they want to change too and tries to cut me off.

I thought about adding the little circular mirrors, but don't like the look.

I'll go with the extenders and stop whining.

Again... I guess it's because people are trying to see directly behind them... I mean my clipons even put my arms out further and being as big as I am my shoulders aren't exactly narrow. Oh well... sorry that a lot of others can't seem to make their mirrors function for them.

I put the mirror extenders on mine and they have made a huge difference. I'm still not quite satisfied though and now I am thinking about going ahead and ordering some 650 mirrors. I saw some at the dealer the other day and they would definitely allow you to look anywhere you want while on the bike, including directly behind you.

Has anyone actually installed 650 mirrors and can share some pictures and impressions?

Anyone have those mirrors?
http://shop.the2wheels.com/Integrate...-Bike-085B.htm

I want to know if they shake too much, resistance, visibility, etc about it.

Thanks so much.

@muzkur: I was looking at getting something very similar and was wondering if you had found any info or other people with them and if they loved or hated them.

i was looking into : same basic thing on amazon, for the turn signals. i wanted to cap the existing location and use the ones on the mirrors. however I'm fearful of less functional mirrors or ones that stick out further since I tend to do a lot of lane splitting.

Dude get them! and then make a review (; (If you like em I might get them too)

Anyway this is what I did to mine Got it from wally world. I think it looks fine and it gets the job done, with it I can see cars behind me and I'm not gonna worry that someone might rear~end me(because they're frigging busy with their phone and not the road!)

I've tried this helmet:

It have a rear mirror inside but it´s so small and hard to see. I dont like it.

kaiserz, your mirror is the best to improve the rear vision. But I think in the turn signals togheter. I could get that mirror with turn signals or buy a turn signals tape to put in original mirrors. I dont know...
