I always wear my tinted visor, with my helmet sunglasses get pushed up a bit so they cant rest on my nose.
So it's a bit annoying, but if I ever go out with some night riding in the plan I'll probably use my clear + glasses.

Only ever ridden at night once and I used my tinted visor with minimal problems.
Was in the city though, I imagine it would be down right dangerous and scary on a unlit highway.

Oh. I should also note I can't wear sunglasses even if I wanted because I wear normal glasses and I don't have any prescription sunglasses.

I've been using a smoked visor for my helmet, but i recently purchased some oakleys with polarized lenses. I'll probably be wearing the sunglasses with the clear visor now.

I can't seem to fit sunglasses on when I have my helmet on. Though about a tinted visor but I go to work in the dark so I would have to carry both all the time. I have a problem in the afternoon at one red light which is directly in the sun on my way home. If I am first at the red light, I can't look into the light because the sun is also right there.

Current solution:
Take one of those self stick car window tints for babies, cut a 1.5" out and put it in the top of my visor. It is just out of my way on normally viewing but when I need to look at a red light I can choose to look through it.

I got my new helmet yesterday, an HJC IS-16. I really like it. It has the flip down sunglasses built into the helmet. It is real light and has lots of venting. I would recommend this helmet.

hey amanda, i've consider'd getting me one of those HJC helmets. do the sun glasses work as advertised? (eye coverage), and is it hard to actuate while riding?

Yes there is eye coverage, and the bottom part covers up to your nose so there is not much exposed. I really like the sun glasses part because you don't have to worry about adjusting them.

Speaking of polarized sunglasses, does anyone else get a kind of psychedelic rainbow effect with polarized sunglasses and a clear shield (at least in the daytime)? I can't use my polarized glasses with my HJC CL-Max because the effect is just too distracting.

yeaaah i just wore my polarized oakleys under my helmet today...and the rainbow colors, though pretty, were distracting. Back to my tinted visor it is!

I have a dark smoke visor for an EXO-700. It really doesnt seem to block that much light, so I'm fine wearing it at night.

Also, look how cool I look in it!!

Tinted visor here. I have a nice zippered pocket inside my Joe Rocket jacket that's meant for a second visor, so I'm covered.
