Here's mine, and probably the most common one I've seen - Progrip tank protector. Can probably pick it up at any bike store...

Does anyone use the grips on the side of the tank? Its meant to help people grip the tank with their knees or something.

I do use stomp grip on the 10R. It helps your knee/leg get a better grip on the tank as you lean off, and also if you are squeezing the tank while decelerating. Don't have any on the ninjette yet, and actually can't remember seeing it on any ninjettes yet either.

Any pictures, Alex? I'm curious even if it's only on the 10R

here's a nice share for you guys, and I don't think many know about this product also: http://www.thetankslapper.com/index.html they sell invisible tank protectors and YES they do have them for the 2008+ 250R.
I'm probably going to buy a set soon

Most of it is hidden under the leather tank bra, but here's a pic:

I keep the tank bra on for street use, but remove it on track.

Pic is from this gallery.

Not the best picture, but here's mine. It was on there when I bought the bike, so I have no info. It's ok, I guess, but the blues don't match.

I have some grips on the side of the tank by Techspec. pretty nice material. They provide a descent amount of grip and are pretty subtle with the rest of the bike.

I went directly through a-tech. It uses double stick adhesive strips that you have to strategically place yourself. I positioned it all screwed up at first and so I bought more adhesive and redid it until it was perfect. I don't remember the exact price but I think it was around $70 or so...Its basicallly a hunk of CF custom molded for the 250 tank shape.

More round version ProGrip pad. I think it matches the shape of the bike really well...just a picture I had on my cell phone already.

I agree. I wanted to order the set but its a bit steep @ $45. I wish you could get it cheaper for just the sides.
