Chinese plastic 'track' fairings with a custom 3 litre bellypan that mounts on the rear fairing bolts.

Ive just ordered proper race glass as its a clusterfck removing the sides and carrying it all to the scrutineering bay when I should be focusing on mental prep.

Wasn't planning on keeping this bike, but since ive jetted it its a rocketship (got 162.87kph on what is a very short straight with an uphill entry) and i'm currently 4th in the state titles with a good chance of a strong season, bike is a bit bent and loose in the headset but I may as well fix it a bit.

\Ive spent nothing but $100 on a jet kit and Unifilter, and $50 on a 47T rear.
and done last season of racing and about 20 track and tuning days on it.
Now we have a proper state championship and I ran under the lap record last round, problem is the leaders keep raising the bar and now I'm 1.2 secs away.

Not bad for a bike I sold the cbr for $5k and bought this one for $3.5K,
Im no Kawasaki fan but its growing one me

Getting better I think. Especially after my recent coaching. The belly isn't helping. Gotta work on that a bit more

oh and below is a "before" in the same day! Before we talked about BP and how to achieve it. Can you spot the improvement? I can!

Just when you think you're doing good, here comes a one-handed instructor. The first three are from Eagles Canyon Raceway June 7-8. The last one is from Hallett Raceway on Easter weekend.

^^^ I though I saw you out there lol. It was the helmet, caught coming off track from lvl2 and thought to myself "that looks just like geeker from ninjette with the hi-vis helmet" lol

That was my first trip to ECR and its a tricky place, hated it for first couple sessions - loved it by the end of the day.

That was our first trip to ECR as well. In fact the guy behind me in the second photo is @Davidb32. I loved that course by the third session. Sunday was sketchy though. We only did session 4 and 5. It wasn't bad for us, but there were so many crashes. We got the unique experience of riding in the crash truck with Dave Wonders after level 1 session 3. We were rolling pretty well on session 5 and pulled the plug after there was a collision on the straight coming out of turn 3. I'm the only tool I've seen with a hi-viz helmet at a track day. There is genius in it. The wife can see me anywhere on the course and people from the interwebs recognize me.

Wife's and track/race days... ya gotta give em something to identify you with. Helmet, paint, stickers, gear, boots, whatever...

It makes em feel good when you turn the next corner and they see ya.

I was CWing on Sun at pit out (which worked out well cause I wasn't riding in that **** weather at Weeping Water Hole, TX) and I spent nearly all day getting off and on that crash truck. It was a rough day for downs.

^^ also could not believe how many people came out of turn 11 knowing there was a big puddle of water and just mash the throttle ...... so many potential high sides but lucky no one ate it there and we got it dry after lunch.

My wife's the opposite. She insists on being there when I race or at a trackday, but she won't come to the track and watch. She stays in the pits.

Here was something cool, because Phoenix is so freaking hot we had a night track event. Started at 8pm and went to 1am, it was crazy at one point a coyote ran across the track and the whole thing with all the lights made you feel like a rockstart. Just curious if anywhere else does night events. Here's a link to photo website until I can post a actually pic. I'm on the red bike, white plate #59-not a expert just have not changed plates yet lol.

This was from the end of two day event at NJMP. Getting better! I find it hard to get my ass back and my head down with the high handlebars on my bike. Working on that will be the job at my next track day.

On the last two sessions of the second day, finally got the hang of doing the screwdriver thing with the throttle, and finally started feeling better on my right side. Up until that, it was a little embarrassing: two days on right handed tracks, and my left knee puck was sheered shiny, and my right puck had just a few scratches from the occasional bounce. Definitely wasn't getting as far off the bike.

Photo quality stinks because it is a cropped iPhone photo, but my body position improved greatly this past weekend. I hope the track photographer got some good ones. I finally got a knee down this session too.

@tnr4 very nice. the more track time you put in, the better those rights are going to be. Everything out here seems to be a clockwise track (except Jennings and NCBIKE Reverse!) so, pretty soon your going to be much better on your rights compared to your lefts.

Haha, yeah, as I get faster, it feels sillier, but I have a ton of fun. And while it's not QUITE like passing folks on a 250, you get some of the same buzz. My buddy who was chasing me and I were two of the faster folks in the Beginner group, and TPM allows passing anywhere except the inside of a turn, so I got my first practice at poaching. Every time I passed the Panigale and the S1000RR driving out of a turn, I couldn't help but smile in my helmet.

Yeah, that's my hope. The last two sessions of day two, it finally *clicked* (thanks to some fantastic coaches with TPM who did a body position clinic over lunch, and spent some 1-1 time with me), and I finally felt comfortable. But it still took a lot of concentration, so was hit or miss. Essentially, I had to be really intentional about taking all weight off the bars (which I do naturally on the left side, but not on throttle side), and slide my hand out to the screwdriver position, which dropped my head right into place. I can't wait to get out for another day to focus on every session.

How bout this, try to nibble on the back of your hand. ie get your head lower. You will have to adjust your wrist to get that low. But working on the head has more benefits than turning your wrist.

Did you repaint your bike? Can I get a full shot please? I just bought a track r6 and fishing for paint ideas.

Yeah I forgot to mention that. I remembered when I was at Jefferson Saturday. And get them photos up.

Thanks @Gurk

I like what you have done, not quite the direction I wanted to go but looks great nonetheless.

they just released A group photos, I is next and N after that. Looks to be about 500 photos from each group so I'll have to look through to find mine. somehow I didn't end up in the paddock photo set guess that's what happens when your paddock is a chair and a bike w/everything in the car until you need it
