Nice.

Told my son that bacon is proof that God exists, and that He wants us to be happy...

my son gets a look on his face like he just reached into a bag of potato chips and found something cold... and wet.

"wut dad?"

well name the 3 major religions...

um Christianity, Judaism, and Islam or one of the eastern religions..

and of those, which allow you to eat bacon?

Christianity.

Proof that God exist and that He wants us to be happy.

uh hu, funny dad.

(Makes a note that Finesse does not eat meat but enjoys a Chardonnay or Pinot Noir )

Peoples religion is determined by the accident of who they are born to, with very few exceptions.

Very strange way to determine who will be torched for eternity after death.

I'm thankful that I get to fly home tomorrow. I'm thankful that my only my parents-in-law are coming, and not the siblings-in-law LOL

I'm notthankful that I am here for another 10+ hours, and I am flying tomorrow...lol

it's more like a joke, not claiming God for myself... you know a sense of humor, that God created as He made us.

and yes, there is a difference between blasphemy and humor.

perhaps what it's pointing to... is that the dietary restrictions are more a man made thing, then a God required thing.

in truth we should be much more worried about what comes out of our mouth, then what goes in.

Just say'n

now lets get back to the topic at hand... BACON!!!! bacon bacon bacon, nummy nummy BACON!!!

i was born to mormons. i am now about as far from a mormon as you could be. i used to be agnostic. then atheist. now i am anti-theist. i believe theocratic discussion and actions based on it are not only a waste of time, but counter-productive.

go study the teachings of the buddha and karma. it is not a religion because it focuses on logic and understanding instead of dogma and false stories and rules. go learn about how you think and how others think and how logic actually works.

learning that people are not fixed things. that people change. that people can learn. this is what religion does not understand. the closest thing to this that exists in religion is the concept of forgiveness.

logic and religion cannot go together and are counter-intuitive to each other.

it is truly something to be grateful for. too many people take good health for granted. we are lucky to have the health services we have available to us. and to live in an area with such good hygiene and sanitation

Though I don't post a lot on this forum I want to say thank you to each and every member of this site...
I would never have been able to accomplish the things I did this year without the great ideas, advice and knowledge that live inside this forum. My intentions of building a bike and learning to become a racer have become a reality and I have this and so many other sites to thank for it.
I wish everybody a great, safe and Happy Thanksgiving... now I'm off to find some more racing video to watch and digest all the food I consumed... cheers all!
