Dirt Bike Handle Bars, Longer Cables ??

So as part of my latest project I'm making a scrambler out of a pregen.

Since it's handlebars are already bent I was thinking about putting a set of dirt bike bars on it.

Any idea which cables I should use? I was thinking of trying a set of KLR 650 cables, they look to be very similar on the ends from the diagrams I have looked at.

I actually put a KLR cable on my wife's ninja after she dumped it and broke it. It was super long, but worked just fine.

I was wondering if they would be too long.

I just replaced both cables on the KLR, haven't tossed the old one, I'll get a length for you
