Doing a lil entertaining soon and I like fill my fall wk ends with football and hours by the fire pit with a good adult beverage.

What is your favorite and do you have a special recipe?

Mine too! Be sure to add a dash of triple sec and some Orange Juice! Those are my 2 secrets to a perfect marg!

If Im looking for liquor :
Rum and Coke
Vodka and Cranberry Juice
Vodka and OJ
Trick to all 3, must squeeze fresh lime juice in each. It brings out the sweetness while also toning down some of the bite of the alcohol. The garbage in the plastic bottles will not work.

If Im in the mood for beer:
Heffe Weizen Beer or any wheat ale if Im looking for something light
Left Hand Milk Stout if Im looking for a stout

If you are looking to make an apple martini for the ladies I use the 1-2-3 rule
1 part sour apple pucker
2 parts vodka
3 parts apple juice
If you have someone who likes their drink a bit stronger
1 part sour apple pucker
2 parts apple juice
3 parts vodka
If you want it to look nice (fancy), buy a green apple and cut thin slices horizontally. It must be horizontal because there's 5 seeds in the center which will make a star shape in the apple slice center. Also line the glass with green sugar crystals.

Martini's are great (always made with vodka)
Vodka and cranberry with fresh lime juice
Capt Morgan and sprite
Pendleton whiskey with sprite
Single malt scotch on the rocks

Homemade Mango Lassi w/ Malibu Mango Rum (don't remember how to make it though cuz the gf made it for us, I just added the Rum

Other than that, screwdrivers are always good. Pepsi and Malibu Coconut Rum is good. Sprite and Malibu Coconut or Mango Rum is good. Orange Juice, a dab of Lime Juice, 1/4 glass of Malibu Coconut Rum and Malibu Mango Rum is very good too!

...and for seafood lovers, the Bahama Mama @ Red Lobster is delicious!

my long time favorite is kamikaze on the rocks:

equal parts vodka, triple sec, and lime juice. sweet citrus taste, but pretty strong (to me anyway).

Screwdriver used to be my mixed drink of choice, sometimes switching to vodka tonics. Now I'm hooked on Gin and tonic. Now ask me the last time I indulged myself to a mixed drink (been at least 3 months).

I don't drink mixed drinks often, I usually drink beer. But I like Gin and Tonic (Tanqueray and Canada Dry), and I'd never say no to a SoCo and Coke, and I also would not turn my nose at bourbon and sprite with a lime wedge.

As for beer, I drink Yuengling most of the time, as one simply cannot find a better beer at it's price point. If I feel like spending a few more dollars Sam Adams Boston Lager is another one of my favorites.

Also among my favorite beers are;
Newcastle Brown Ale
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Guinness Extra Stout
Sweetwater IPA

Beer is good.....

On Monday for Labor Day I am going to make some Bahamas Mama Jello Shots. I have never made Jello Shots so this will be a first for me.
Recipe:

In a large bowl mix 3 cups of boiling water with 1 package of Orange Jello, Strawberry Jello and Pineapple Jello until fully dissolved. Add 1 cup cold water and 2 cups of Coconut Rum. Stir until well combined. Cool and pour into shot cups. Makes 48 shot cups.

Sounds very tasty.
