Can't shift up

I recently purchased the 2wheels levers from ebay and when I installed it I was unable to shift up. I can shift into 1st and neutral but not 2nd. I put in the old levers to see if I can shift up but wouldn't work. Does anyone know why?

Just to make sure....are you riding the bike when you're unable to upshift, or is it sitting still?

Riding still, I have not yet rode the bike. If the bike is moving will it be able to shift?

I'm not sure about the new bikes, but pre-gens lock out second gear when you aren't moving. The new generation of bikes most likely are the same. If all you've changed is your levers, I highly doubt you did anything to your transmission

It can be challenging to get the gear lever to do much when the bike is sitting still. 2nd gear will probably be impossible unless it's moving.

Hmmm I'll test it out when I go home. Its just weird cause I was able to shift up sitting still until I took out the levers.

Sounds like the kawi neutral-finder feature. It shouldn't have been able to shift up past neutral while stationary prior either.

So I started up the bike rode it and it shifted!!! Is it normal for it not to shift when its standing still? Because I was able to shift up standing still ever I first bought until I swapped out the levers. Well it still works so its fine just wondering if it was normal. I got too exctied that my bike still works that I forgot to put the kickstand down when I got off! Never done that before....

Perfectly normal.

The bike is designed NOT to shift past neutral if the bike is not moving. This is a feature so you are not confused what gear you are in at a stop (so you dont have to wonder if you are in first or second, etc.).
