Guy actually got out of his car at a light to speak with me...

So coming off a pretty curvy road (in no way pushing it to any extent, I was enjoying the views) guy who got out of his car at a light to tap me on the shoulder saying that I shifted my weight around too much during turns and that he was worried for my safety)... I just said what? and the light turned green, so I went. - Pretty funny considering he was tailgating for about 3 miles of twisties..

I guess I was moving around my weight around when the road got strait... I was getting really sore as I just finished a long run before I went for a ride.

Pretty scary having a motorist get out of their car. To be honest I instantly put my hand on my blade in case he was about to push me over or something violent.

That is a little startling, but all in all he was interested in your safety even though he kind of oversteeped his boundaries. Be safe out there Nick

lol.. now thats a treat! I had a street person hit me up for my cell phone at a gas station. I pointed to phone booth on the corner he said it wasnt workin then started to walk towards me... I put the bike in gear started off and as he's yellin at me, I looked and slammed my visor down into place... that pissed him off even more so he started yellin obscene comments as I left the lot... lol like anyone else is gonna help him at this point... mother taught me never talk to strangers, I taught me never pick one up in a gas station.

I can't believe Kenny Roberts is still harassing riders at stop lights in Cali.

You should of said "yeah well you were tailgating for 3 miles and I was worried for my safety."

then stabbed him in the face.

Or just say that and drive off. Tailgating is a pet-peeve of mine

If you're riding slow enough that a car can tailgate you for 3 miles, you probably should look for a shoulder wide enough to ease over and wave the tailgater past.

I would have thanked him for his unsolicited advice and then asked him if he minded if you pointed out some errors in his driving that you observed... again, for your safety.

lol. then maybe followed him home and pointed out that his lawn looked like crap, his bushes needed trimmed, and maybe he could really benefit from some landscaping books.

you carry a knife when you ride? is that legal in california?

but yeah, that is freaky that someone would get out of their car and tap you on the shoulder like that.

The knife is legal. The iffy part is that it uses the emerson wave opener that allows you to catch it on the corner of your pocket as it is withdrawn, opening the blade. All in one quick step.

Sounds like a lot, but 3 miles was about 3-4 minutes or so. No real safe turn offs for a bike on that stretch, much safer just riding it out

That is weird... But then again...

He could be a fellow motorcyclist that is just stuck in his car. (though that does not make me feel more comfortable that he was driving so close to you, a motorcyclist should know to keep back)

Would you react this same way if he had rolled up on a motorcycle and told you this?

Just throwing out a different idea.. *yeah yeah I am an optimist, even though I agree that the world is out to get me*
