Anyone going to run WERA NC ESS?

I noticed that the WERA North Central had 0 racers in ESS Expert and 1 Novice last year.

Anyone here going to run this class?

I'm setting up a bike and I know another guy that is going to run some races with a 250 Honda. Hopefully we can get some on the grid...

those three tracks are part of MotoSeries (based in OH) regular series. Last year typical grid size for the 250 superbike class was between 6-12 bikes.
check motoseries.com for schedule.

Motoseries doesnt run Grattan. Last year they did 6 of 9 races at Nelson Ledges, the worst track in the US. No thanks. PIRC MS race would be fun.

Grattan WAS on the schedule for 2012, but was cancelled last minute due to weather issues (like weather it was gonna snow!). 2013 calendar is not out yet. great track, in both directions!

was just saying though, that Motoseries DOES have nice size grids for the 250 class. my son runs the class and the top three positions are usually within tenths.

and re Nelsons ledges, yah it's rough. but still does the trick. kinda like cold pizza. satisfies on the cheap. we run grattan, barber, beaver, m-o, etc and still look forward to NL.

I can see that. I always try to make 1 MS (Fasttrax) event each year. I love Carol, but I don't think she is involved anymore.

I run a R6 also and the faster I go at Nelsons the less I want to go... I work with STT at Grattan sometimes so if you see a 250 with a carbon RS125 upper and lower on it stop and say hi.

Cool, the first race is CCW. The 2nd is the normal direction and a double header (Sprints Saturday and Sunday). My bike won't be legal for CCS, iirc they dont allow bodywork modifications or something like that. I have Honda RS125 bodywork (what I had molds for) on mine to save some money, since WERA has no bodywork restrictions.

Doesn't rung a bell but possible. I was at the very last weekend at the end of Sept. with the R6. I didn't get the 250 until Nov.

You can run CCS with that bodywork, all my bikes have aftermarket fiberglass body work. They are pretty easy on that stuff. Just an FYI.

Thanks, I want to try BHF. I missed it when WERA went there last year. Wife wouldn't let me go

Good to hear about the 250 grid sizes in MS/FastTrax/whatever it's called now. I'll be doing a year of track days this year (just as soon as I find a pregen to track prep) and I'll be racing next year (finances-permitting).

I also noticed that the WERA class was more or less nonexistent. It surprises me that more race junkies don't pick up a N250 with the economy as bad as it is.
