bike theft fail

I guess if you are going to jack bikes It probably pays to know how to ride and ride well and fast.... or at least faster than the friends of the guy who's bike you just stole but what do I know.

Link to original page on YouTube.

would he be liable for the damage to his own bike, seeing as he did actually cause the accident. I realize the bike was techniquely in the possession of the thief but the damage was caused by him. Just a thought for convo, now dispute.... go go go....lol

"Caused by?" I dunno that I'd think of it that way. When a thief steals your car and takes police on a high-speed chase and they use the Pit maneuvers to make it lose control and it wrecks, the thief is still responsible.

Regardless, they said it was the owner's "homie" (AKA, friend) who kicked the bike. The owner wasn't tooling around with two bikes.

They don't use the pit maneuver unless the person behind the wheel is a danger to public. It's like the topic of if a thief leaves your house you can't shoot him on your lawn when he is leaving, you can but then it's murder on your end. Just some thought there.

If I was the owner the damage to the bike would be worth it just for this video and seeing the thief go to jail. Didn't look like the bike was beat up too bad anyways.

I would probably kick his arse off the bike too. Just wondering how the damage would be handled.

I suck with movies. I suck with celebrities. But I do remember him being a reporter racing to the scene of gruesome crimes to get the footage. Am I thinking about the correct movie?

Yep. I suck with names too. All I could remember was his name was Jake! That was enough for me to find that he's called Jake Gyllenhaal and he was acting as Louis Bloom in the film Nightcrawler.
