Anyone Powder Coat their rims yet?
I was thinking about painting mine a gold/bronze color to kinda look like those subarus but the problem is I do not have money to buy a front and rear stand. (I still frown when I have to do the oil change because of the instability)
Does anyone have a cheaper alternative of lifting the bike? If someone does find a solution for me, will post pix =] I have already painted by rsx rims black and like how they turned out. But that was also a pain because I had to individually lift each tire from the oem scissor jack Anyone in the area of knotts berry farm that could lend me a hand? Thanks for reading mai thread. |

no, not scissors jacks, jackstands.
I would consider investing in a rear stand. You will need it down the line anyway and it makes working on the bike so much easier. Here's a good deal here... http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12708 |

lol... you're gonna have to find a cheap front stand on your own. The one I'm using was well over $100.

I've got a pair of T-Rex stands and they've worked well. The bike's been propped up for like 4 months now. |

I have powder coated wheels, very easy, I have my own powder coating gun though. You don't want to paint them unless you enjoy watching your wheels slowly ding up over time from stray rocks... you'll never want to change the tires either because the first time you do your going to have the paint shredded off the lips of the tires very quickly.
