On Any Sunday

This is required for anyone who rides. It takes an hour and a half so I don't want to see anyone on here for that length of time.

Link on Hulu.

There will be a test!

I've watched that many times..should be mandatory for anyone on two wheels. It's wild to see how far road racing has evolved.

I also enjoyed Faster and the sequel The Doctor, The tornado, and the Kentucky Kid. However those documentaries were on MotoGP specifically.

OK, first question:

On Mert Lawwill bike, which side was the shifter on?

Where was the race in which Steve McQueen participated? On what kind of bike did he ride? and what company named a motorcycle after this race?

What is your favorite bike in the movie?

Mert lives a few houses down from a guy I ride with. Neat guy! And nice guy, as well. I've met him a few times, here he is with Annie when he was first roling out that Street Tracker of his a few years back, and giving a demo at the Candy Store.

Good job Aaron.

Now the tough bonus question;

Why was Malcolm Smith always smiling?

That was too easy.

That's why I'm always smiling and my ass never hurts (no gay jokes) while riding.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess CZ (however the tank looks like a Harley).

well, he was sponsored by Harley, which is why the bike was black (to look like one) but I'm not exactly sure what it was. Could it have been on of those 350 Rapidos they were selling back then or was it another brand of bike (like CZ) painted black so you couldn't tell what it was?

Alex, next time you see him, can you ask?

BR...

The Hulu site in the US won't accept requests from IP addresses in Canada. It's got to do with copyright laws. Canadian copyright laws are not as strict for the video/film makers advantage and so many websites in the States fear legal issues and will not feed to Canadians.

You can download the film using the bitorrent file sharing system. Also I found a proxy program for my Mac that connects me to the Internet via an American server and so those US sites like HULU think I'm in the US.

You what really caught my eye in that video. Is when that mechanic did a quick u-turn in the pits pushing that repsol honda. They gotta be light as hell, with one low center of gravity. Not like any street bike........

I watched the movie again and noticed that the beginning of the road race part was the old track at Loudon. That track was so much fun and yet so dangerous.

When he was just 10 he had a bit part in the classic movie “On Any Sunday,” doing a long wheelie on his little Honda 50.

Steve McQueen was some Porsche guy in the movie LeMans, other than that I think he stayed in the cooler.
