massacremasses NINJA EVOLUTION

I decided Id make a thread about the upcoming evolution of my little ninja.

Things that are DONE

1. paint (jet black)
2. powder (fluorescent green)
3. green tank pad (I GOT IT FOR $1 eff yeah!)
4. frame sliders
5. proton flushmounts that @ForceofWill gave me
6. Dan Moto slip on
7. OEM seat cowl

Things that will be coming

1.Decals that match my powder (maybe on the fence about it now)
2. adjustable shorty levers (black and green)
3. Green LED lighting kit. (I have some from ebay right now but I think ill use the kit and wire the ebay ones into it. I want the remote and stuff and its cheaper/easier buying it all in the kit.)
4. CustomLED integrated rear light (waiting on it to arrive!)

Current (still some work to go!)

before

good side

before the fender eliminator

Would you want a build thread in the pics section, or the tech section? Depending on the focus, it would probably work in either, but I wonder if General is really the right spot for it?

Not sure? And yeah sorry I wasnt sure where to put it. There will be pictures So I suppose in the picture section? Its not really that technical as the mods will be purely cosmetic.

So I guess pics is fine. But I better get some pics in to make it worthy of a picture spot

The biggest thing with powder coating the rims is the wheel weight thing... Im gonna have to figure out how to get those one there without them looking gross and out of place. Is there anyones that I can get that are not visible? does anyone know?

Get the factory ones that clip to the "spine" in the middle of the rim and then paint them to match the rim. They'd stand out a little less than the normal stick on ones, or I suppose you could paint the stick on kind too.

Just an idea.

I recommend dyna beads. Some swear by em, some hate em, I've got them in my bike and it rides fine although I've yet to do a good test on them (think highway where its smooth, + very high rates of speed)

Sounds like a great little project to take on. I really want to get a Dan Moto exhaust, but I'm unsure what to do with it once I get it.

Keep up updated man!!

Took a little while to get everything off... as Ive never done it before. Had my little cousin help out since hes not very automotive savvy to teach him stuff (even though im clueless here too lol)

also my new bar ends, frame sliders, and proton FM will be going on and I think im going to powder coat the wheels while its out of commission anyways... although that may be a daunting task to put it all back together... as I have a terrible memory.

Oh and I think ill be getting a danmoto slip on to finish her up.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHh and some had the great idea of powder coating my passenger pegs the same color as my wheels! idk why I didnt think of that?! but yeah Ill be doing that as well

thanks guys.

I went to the store to pick up some sand paper today. Unfortunately I will not be able to work on it today. :/

Ive gotta work on house improvement stuff today. Gotta keep the wife happy. But yeah my cousin was making fun on the kitchen sink in the picture too, haha. I do all the work at my grandpas house since he has the space, and the tools, but I have to put up with his random junk everywhere. lol

CHEAP!!!!

they rip you for shipping but still it only comes out to a like $130 and some change. looks really good too for some Chinese ****!

It also only took a week to get here. Everyone says they forget the baffle if you order it (its like $6 extra) but I wrote in the part you can write a note "PLEASE DO NOT FORGET MY REMOVABLE BAFFLE" lol

bad news as well... I found out today that my "universal" bar ends are not so universal. They are totally the wrong type and dont screw in and are just all wrong? I dont know if im a dummy and im missing something, but they didnt seem to work at all...

Yes thats powder. I decided against doing the bolts... a lot of work and it makes me nervous I wont be able to get the allen wrenches in it when I do it because there is a lot of material in there...

thanks, slower than I would like though :/

I tried to start wet sanding on monday, but its just to damn cold outside when I get off work, I cant feel my hands so Im probably just messing it up. So Ill have to wait until this weekend...

so no paint this weekend unfortunately super bummed but oh well its suppose to rain next week anyways. I want to get it painted so I can start putting things back together... I still need to shim the needles and put the new slip on, on.

Pegs look good man. If I had kept mine I woulda PC'ed em too. Now just get rid of those fugly stock turn signals in the back and get yourself a nice LED tail.

yeah I plan on the little guy going for rides with me so I need to keep em on.

BUT I KNOW RIGHT?! I hate the stock turn signals. When I get the intigrated one Im debating weather I will just take those off and see how long I go without getting a ticket or not... lol

I want this though with the flush mount turn signals but its just so much $$$ for all of it
