Talking Anyone in the LA Area!!

I'm looking to find a good mechanic to do some mechanical maintenance work on my 250. Anyone know a good place or good person in the Los Angeles area?

I can also vouch for Gemini

I'd be happy to help you out as well depending on what you need done.

I've got my mornings free and I do all my own bike work.

I just got a used 2008 250r as my first bike. Very new to riding!

I'm looking to have a full inspection to see if anything needs to be done. Also I know it needs to tires, and i already bought them and have them in my garage. Also I know the chain need some work, it looks a bit try. I think it needs to be cleaned and lubed, hopefully not replaced!

Other than that, depending if it needs it or not.. I was thinking the carbs cleaned and spark plugs replaced. Also I read about a mod that might be helpful on my bike, shimming the carb needles.

A lot of guys on here are completely new and learn themselves through the DIY threads and member help how to do things to the bike. How many miles does it have? At the very least I'd change the oil. Get some chain lube and cleaner (use the search function on the site to find good brands) and a chain cleaning brush. It's super easy to do on your own. Change the oil - use synthetic. Again, use the search to find the proper oil type. I like Mobile One Synthetic and K&N filters. There are DIYs on shimming the needles as well.

Agreed, start reading up and get your hands dirty and you'll start to enjoy working on your bike more and more. There are also a lot of video resources if you search on ninjette and on YouTube.
