What will be the HP of the 300cc ninja post aftermarket upgrades, any estimates?
It is around 39hp stock but im thinking what will a maxed out 300 be pushing? about 50hp? and what do you think the big bore kit will be, 350,375, or 400cc
Should be interesting I wish Kawasaki also sheaded some weight other then just adding power. |

The ninja 300 will make 31hp at the wheel, 39 is at the crank, no one cares about that useless number. With full pipes and intake mods I'd say 35-37hp should be attainable. A big bore kit may not be possible if the 300 ends up being a bored out 250, but if it is possible to bore it out then it might crack 40hp

I suppose if the 300 ends up being a bored out 250 that would be great for previous model owners especially if direct bolt in of an engine swap is attainable. And if it isn't that's good news for more power for current 300 owners. And I know that's at the crank, manufacturers never give the whp

But even 31-33 hp at the wheel is what a newgen can make (fully modded with bolt-on goodies) and that's completely stock, and super quiet. A 250 with a full pipe and open intake is impressively fun and peppy in it's own right. Having that, but whisper quiet sounds great.
Now imagine adding another 5-8 hp onto that to get 37-40 hp The only guy turning numbers like that with a 250 is Racer x, and look at how much time/money/knowledge he's had to put into his bike, and it's hardly meant for the street. There's certainly a lot of potential with this new bike. |

I find it very funny that no matter the size of the bike, some people want to squeeze more power out of it. Kawasaki (possibly) comes out with a 300 and people want to bore it to a 350 or 400. If Kawasaki comes out with a 400 will not be happy and want to bore it to a 500.
IMHO people need to find out how much power they want out of a bike and go out and buy a bike that matches their needs. Rant over. |

Its hard to tell or not if it is a completely different engine or if it uses 250cc internals and is bored out it kinda looks like the 250cc engine and kinda not |

my guess would be about 35-38 HP to the wheel with full exhaust, intake, and bazzaz. modding is not always about peak HP, but better power curve along the entire rpm band.

Wait I've got it. My stock ninja's dyno curve at peak is -1/1000x^2 +24.9 I'm hoping with my new setup to get something like -1/1500x^2 + 31.0

Hey guys my first posting here since joining. I have recently joined because I am very excited about the 300 Ninja and I have already signed up to get the first one here at my dealership. I have been riding most my life until the past 5 years in which I have been messing around and restored an old 78 XL100 Honda enduro for my son. We did it as a family project. Point is I am excited to get back on a sport bike but was not eager to jump into a 600 or more so the 300 fits the bill nicely since all out speed is not my desire and running smooth corners is.
As I understand it the 300 uses the same 62mm bore size as the 250 but uses a longer rod as well as using a 7.8mm-longer stroke combined with shorter, lighter connecting rods to keep engine height identical to the 250. This means a bigbore kit is not out of the question for those with enough interest. For my own needs I think I will enjoy wrapping some track plastic on it and doing a number of laps down memory lane again. I cant wait. I look forward to learning and sharing information on this board. It seems to be the place for small liter Kawasaki fans. |

I wish I could get a 300 just to try it out and see the difference between it and the 2005 ex250 I had. The interesting thing in Taiwan is anything over 250cc gets a yellow plate allowing you to drive on more roads This will be the first small yellow license plate ninja in Taiwan To bad the 300 will cost about 15000usd+- in Taiwan
