Might has well turn this thread into the Group ride thread! I propose we go on a cruise type of ride just to get familiar with each other and what not. Meet and Greet if you will.

Route
We can cruise around the city using: FDR, 125th street across to the Westside highway or down Broadway thru Columbus Circle to/thru Times Square, and have some food somewhere biker friendly (if we agree)!

I am open to riding in other places besides the city (Manhattan), this is just to get something going!

Date/Time
This will be for this Saturday June 9th. Time to be determined. Meetup spot(s) will be determined by proximity to each other (if that makes sense!). This is just a suggestion, so whoever wants to add on, edit, completely change it with something better, do not hesitate. I will do this even if it's me and one other person! (Heck, I might do it by myself if I have too)

I will be PMing those on this thread just to make sure I'm not talking/writing to myself.

Ok everyone, please post up your locations so that we can figure out a spot to meetup at. Right now I'm thinking 2 meetup points.

1st: A few members are in Brooklyn/Queens so I say we can meetup up by battery tunnel as suggested by kraazy, or by one of the bridges.

2nd: Somewhere in upper Manhattan so that the members in the northern part of the area can meet up at. The 1st group can meet them there.

For both spots I suggest we meet up at a gas station so that everyone can fill up so that we won't have any unexpected stops. Those who want to go grab a bite to eat together please just let us know before hand so that we can get an idea of what to do time wise and what not.

Also guys and gals, plus give has much input has possible so that everyone can be accommodated. Experience levels, comfortable riding in groups/city riding, how familiar you are with the city; that sort of thing.

Toly, another member in the area can't do saturday's, but good with sundays. I'm down for two different meet ups this weekend if people are willing to do sunday and can't saturday. I really want this group to get together and meet everyone, so I'm down for whatever!

I'm in Crooklyn, near bushiwck. Best meet up time is normally early or late, but I'm willing to do a noon/afternoon run. As for spot, let's see how far everyone is.

When we do a ride to the catskills, you can join since it's about 2-2.5 hours from both sides.

Catskills....I'm in Nassau and go the catskills often
route 30, reservoirs, 214, oliverea rd, peekamoose I know the area pretty well. If you're up for a 400 mile day you're invited as it is most def ninjette country...even more if you're OK with the secondary rds.
Route 30 from Livingston Manor to 28...maybe best mc road NY has to offer.

ok I'm a decent rider ive been riding like 5+ years or so I'm comftorble riding in groups the more the merrier. I don't know **** about the city I should b with Maby a few people who r not on the forum might know it better than me

Hey eddikay, you down for the meet? Eventually, we can have you lead us up there on them twisties. I've done 9w, 218 and a few others in/around bear mountain. I'm hoping to go to the catskills sometime this summer, and it would make an awesome 250 group ride!

BTW, I've only been riding since January of this year and I have gone down already. I'm comfortable in groups and know my way around, not in the city like anything below columbus circle lol.

I think I'm going to copy the NJ Riders format and add our names to the top of this thread with experience and general area of each rider.

wazuuuuup, everyone !welcome back pmason hope ur vacation was good.! iam only riding couple months with one other,first time in group so ill be riding near the back door, im located borderline queens/brooklyn-(5 min from crossbay blvd howard beach area and 5 min to linden blvd brooklyn if any one wants to meet up from queens or bklyn ,lemme no. as far as city meet up, iam very familiar with city (born and raised) from downtown to uptown,
there is a great meet up location in Bk for tunnel:

1) Ikea Brooklyn (lot)
1 Beard Street, Brooklyn, NY

and manhattan:
1)underneath highway(parking area)near seaport.near fulton and beekman st

2)FDR 23rd st exit theres a gulf station near piers for fill up.

as far as the bridges...its ridiculous with the construction all stop and go.take it every day.

im in queens near the Jackie Robinson ill ride but my bike is naked i don't think ill have my fairings on by then since there getting painted matte black but ill ride street fighter style lol. lets try and exchange numbers and meet in groups that are close can meetup and then we can meetup with another group at a final meeting piont
