LOL, I will tell friends they have to join this forum and buy a Ninja to come along .

No problem riding with new riders, I have actually taught a few new riders on riding techniques, as long as everyone ride within their own pace should be a good time. The wife and I will probably go with the faster pace group, I know my buddy with the GT650R will appreciate riding with people who are also learning their technique. Going to MTNs this Saturday 8-25-12 also if any of you would like to join? Meeting at WH Mall of GA at 8:10am, leaving at 8:30 sharp!

I have a good friend who is trying to convince me to go white water rafting that Saturday. There is a good chance I will since I have always wanted to, so it looks like Sunday will be the day for me.

Figured since you were all Georgians, I'd just post on this thread. I live in Newnan, GA. There's a great beginner ride down my way to Warm Springs and back. It's about a 100 mile round trip and is a great ride for new riders. There's a vintage motorcycle museum and usually lots of bikes ride up. There's a covered bridge if you continue riding to Warm Springs. We can usually get a little group to ride any weekend if anyone is ever interested in coming along. We (the newbies) usually take it easy and the more advanced riders will shoot up ahead and do the twisties.

Sounds good, not sure where Warm Springs is but if it's close to Newnan (assuming that's where you are) that's closer to me being on the south side of Atlanta. I consider myself a total noob so I'd be interested in doing that route.

Thanks for the pics! That looks like a good time. Glad Taylor was ok!

So folks. Check the first post and let me know if your name is up there and you don't think you can make it, or if you think you can and its not on the list!

Thanks,

Hey Everyone!

Getting prep'ed for my first true group ride! Just finished my valve adjustment, oil change and coolant flush and have a new set of tires on the way!

I am up for any route, even 348 if that's what everyone else wants to do.

Just ordered new rear tire yesterday, I am down for whatever, I like to take HWY 60 to 180 over to 348, most folk go hwy 129. Can you post official meeting place and time? I will most likely meet up with Darren at WH Mall Of GA again.

Its a little over 100 miles. I was thinking we could get lunch in Helen to break it up.

Its a bit of a way for me to get up there as well from the NW side of ATL.

I think Walmart in Dahlonega is a good meeting spot. For those coming from Sandy Springs, Dunwoody or anywhere near that, you can meet up with me and we'll roll together up there. The ride is so much fun you won't notice the miles ticking by or the time. I got my Ninja in December and I am almost to 4k.

So I guess this ride is going down on Saturday then? Don't think I can make it. I'm going white water rafting in Tennessee and I have to leave around 2 PM to get there by 5 to launch.

I was hoping it was going to happen on Sunday. Looks like I'm missing another Ninjette group ride.

Its really to soon to check the weather, Friday it might drop down to 10% or jump to 100%, hard to say! Lucky for us GA is full of fun twistie roads, Even if the MTN is rained out, plenty of other locations to go ride at

On a side note, would y'all be for me getting photos of you all on the MTN? I would basically get ahead of you all, then snap photos as you passed! If the weather is clear I will bring my super dooper nice camera! Of course as long as you all feel this will not be a distraction to your riding? The photos i posted on here were took from a phone, with my camera they will be nice clean pro photos (Better wash your bike)!

I don't recommend trying it on the street. We have plenty of tracks near us. Try it there as it will be much safer.

@BlueJeepYJ - I am in as long as chance of rain is in the afternoon and not at its greatest during our ride...not jinxing just saying!

Since peeps are inviting NONE 250s I invited a 650er that said he was in and possibly another 250 pregen!! I am tempted to ride my BUSA since it has turned into more of a GA RIDER ride then a 250 ride BUT I dont own flip flops or a wife beater shirt to be dressed right for it (as most think thats what BUSA riders wear) HAHAHA!

@DeviantTurtle - PICS sound great man! I am sure many of us would truly appreciate pics in motion

You would have more fun on your 250 anyways, its still a 250 ride. Most people cannot tell the differance between a 250 and a 650 from a distance anyways

That was more a joke than anything. Where are the tracks though? I'm not inclined to gear up for it and take my bike out there, but the information would seem to be good to have.

Road Atlanta/Atlanta Dragway are the only two that come to mind!

Talking to Darren, mentioned that I do video editing, so if you want to bring your video camera I could put something together!

Hypothetical speaking, if the MTNs a no go do to weather, would any of you be down for a photoshoot around Atlanta area? No charge, but some photos may be displayed on future website to show off my work. I really need action shots!
