I don't have a Dremel tool, grinder or chain breaker. Will boot cutters cut the chain off? Is it easy enough to disconnect the swingarm and just pull the chain out that way?

Unbolting the swing arm will be a BITCH! However, it will be a great opportunity to lubricate all of your suspension components. A Dremel tool will do it but will take a while. Boot cutter won't do. Maybe a BOLT cutter would but it would be a first that I've heard of. If you don't remove the swing arm and don't decide on a master link (my choice) you're going to have to invest about $80.00 for some good link rivet tools and if you do that you will not have to cut-off your old chain. Your $80.00 rivet tool set should include and link removal tool. I didn't say it would be inexpensive. Lube your chain really well and make sure you don't have to go through all this ****.

Here are some ideas for removing the chain - https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/How_do...e_the_chain%3F

Removing the swingarm is one of the most difficult IMO.

Borrow something to cut the old chain if you can.

While it is chain slack - others such as MCN and CycleWorld have also used slack and tension in their writings. Also back when long travel suspension was invented on MX bikes they had chain tensioners as some bikes had a long distance between front sprocket and swingarm pivot which meant wide swings in the amount of slack or tension on the chain.
