He finally caved in and offered to return the stuff to security tonight when he finally returned my phone call. I'll see how that pans out. I have notified one of the security personnel put a BOLO out for a guy in possession of my helmet and gloves and to notify me when he arrives. Not sure if they will hold him for me. Also, since this occurred in the parking garage. I had to notify the Texas Medical Center police of the incident since my work security has no jurisdiction in the garages the area. They have yet to contact me back regarding recovering in video footage yet of possibly catching the thief in the act or in possession.

What investigation? The police are not going to do anything. I contacted them and it takes roughly 2 weeks for them to assign an investigator to take my report and information EVEN WHEN I HAVE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE of my gear in their possession.

Went out to see my baby for the first time in a few weeks. Going to give her new oil, new filter, replace the rear sprocket, new chain.

Put key in and turn and click.... Uh oh. *clickclickclick* ARGH!!

Luckily truck was on the other side of the garage door so just jumped the bike, let her run. Did the oil change, let her run some more.

Took a look at the riveted chain and decided the sprocket swap could wait.

Just need to stop listening to the weather guy predicting precipitation every weekend that has yet to appear. Ride more = battery stays charged. Simple.

Course, I'd be riding more if it wasn't freaking pitch black at 5pm. I need to move to Egypt or have a second house in Sydney. Darkness sucks.

I took the initiative and rode in the snow today so I don't have to deal with it over the weekend.

That's how it works, right?

Added a lead for the battery tender. It wasn't long enough to reach under the pillion but I got it down to one screw instead of four.

More lights, yes. HIDs? No. After reading both sides of retrofitting, I decided I don't want to bother.

I'll be adding LED aux lights once I can improve my electrical system. Then, I *may* consider going to LED headlights down the road if I can be convinced that the "bulb" is compatible with my existing reflector.

Got my oxford hot hands installed today along with a relay so i don't have to worry about forgetting to shut the switch off. Then i had to go and kick myself in the backside for not getting them sooner, damn do they make a world of difference even though it was only 55 today.

You mean the mass on the left side of the image?

My backpacks. I have a few based on the hike I was going on. One is for just general walks, one for weekend long trips, and another for weeklong camping trips. I decided the general one was still to big and got a ultralight pack that never saw any use.

Wasn't actually today but today was my last day at work for two weeks and now I'm feeling chatty.

Last week my wife and I were having a rough weekend with our kid. Teething and other baby stuff had really rattled our nerves and we needed some kind of escape. Our downstairs neighbors offered to watch the kid for a couple of hours so we could get away. We looked at movie times but the nothing really fit our window of time. My wife suggested that we go for a ride on my motorcycle. Hell yeah!

Now, I had never ridden my bike with a passenger but we had ridden her 170cc scooter many times and many miles together. We geared up, did a good walk through of the bike (we have a baby and I'm not about to make her an orphan cause I didn't check tire pressure) and set out. Before I even left our street I worked with the brakes to see how the extra weight would affect them. Not too bad but def need a bigger following distance with the vehicles in front of me.

It was dusk (prob not the best time to try this out) and we headed up to our old stomping grounds. Took it slow and stayed on city streets. No freeways for us like this. Though we def exceeded the max weight the bike had no problem getting us around. I did find a pothole but still felt the suspension do its job. She zigged once when I zagged but I was able to maintain control.

Found a small neighborhood that really got into the Christmas spirit with lighting and enjoyed a very slow drive through the streets.

A very pleasant ride and when we got home we felt recharged. Though my wife did say the bike was extremely uncomfortable. That's okay though, we never planned on this being a passenger vehicle.

Took her out for the last hurrah of this year. then washed her including a good cleaning as lubing of the chain. I'll be putting her "blanket" (aka cover) on in the am when i know she's dry. Good day but kinda sad too because she probably wont be out again for a while. Just going to be too darn cold.

Discovered the battery was beyond dead. Breathed a bit of life into it with about five hours of charging before bringing it in the house to warm up (blasted 10° temps).

Managed to go riding today in search of a new one and bought the same Yuasa battery. Happy with my three years of life out of it, so hoping for three more.

I can still ride.

Think I'll go the stator route for more power vs swapping my headlights.

That was a low blow, take it back!!! Today looks like it will be the last 45+ degree day of the year. I've been riding my bicycles. Because crashed track bike in garage still.

That works also. I think there's a page on the ninja250.org wiki, but it applies to the pregen. Also, do you have electrical overhead problems while riding or just while idling?

*snicker*

I contacted Electrosport who has updated the stator referenced in the comparison table to be a direct plug in. However, for the '12 the plug changed and they needed pictures of my connector. But once provided, they said they could make one for me.

Alone, my bike has plenty of power. It's only when running my high beams and heated jacket on high does the voltmeter drop to 12.5-13v. While right now, it's fine, I would like to add two aux lights (spot and flood) at 20-odd watts each or a pair of heated socks. Neither of which my bike will support at the moment.

Not something I actually DID to the bike, but I'm finally getting race fairings, after like forever... I shipped my fairings to a, not so local, fiberglass shop and he whipped this up for me... Hope it fits well. His other work is good, so I'm hoping this will be the same.

Let's see, yesterday added on the wings, swapped out the battery, and rode about 200 miles in the near freezing temps.

Lessons learned: When reinstalling the front cowling, it is vital to plug the headlight back in. And when reinstalling the side fairing, the same holds true for the front turn signals.

Not my 250, but I put the track r6 in the basement to put the finishing touches on it before Feb. at Jennings. Still a bit of work to do, but should be easy enough.
