question about shimming those needles

ok i, had installed a jet kit from the dealer last year, bike runs great, i joined the forum and lookin at the DIY's it seemed easy just a b!tch to get the needles back in especially the left one and i was fore warned. so the question is i got is after i put the washer under the needle noticed an e clip and various slots in which to move the clip up or down. i put the washer in anyway not knowing if i could move the clip instead.
the bike runs fine no choke needed at startup now. i blasted around the block and all is good should i redo it and move that clip instead of the washer??? or just leave it alone??

The washer is the same as 1/2 of a clip move, so up to you if you need more or not.

the clip does the same as the washer. if your dealer put the jet kit in, its already tuned and adding a washer is making it worse. put it back to what it was before.

If they messed up the diaphragm then they should be paying for it...?

right but how can i prove it any way im going there right after work and i will get mine i did electrical work in the mechanics house so i know hell do the right thing its east to over look if ur not careful it took me damn near 20min to get the good diaphragm in the groove as the fuukin spring and clearance issues. i was more worried about the stripping the screws.
