This is a good combo? (Chain, sprockets)

Hi guys I was asking to danno a good combo from chain and sprocket, danno told me I need to search a 520 chain with 108 or more links is good, and change the front sprocket from 14t to 16T, and keep the rear sprocket with 45T, but I want to change the rear sprocket but I don't know if this sprockets ancld chain is good for the bike

FRONT SPROCKET

https://www.ebay.com/itm/332736393307?ul_noapp=true

CHAIN (2 options)

https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B004XAX..._OE9WBbWDPDGBQ

https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B006O85..._CH9WBbCG97Y67

REAR SPROCKET (2 options)

https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B0068ET..._xJ9WBbRD9B5KA

https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B0068FY..._7J9WBbQH2VNVC

Anybody has buy sprockets and chain from different manufacturers?

Ps: I was searching on Amazon because the sellers from eBay are from USA, and they don't send to Mexico

Hi David,

Hard to beat JT sprockets, they seem to last pretty darn good. Nobody is going to say anything bad that you are looking at DID and RK chains either. And the same for Vortex rear sprockets. Unless you are racing or a track day junkie, stick with steel sprockets like you have.

As far as other brands,

Sunstar, Renthal, Volar, Vortex, EK, SuperSprox, Bikemaster

They are all decent in their own ways.

Good luck!

I really don't care to buy all from RK, Vortex, etc, the problem is in amazon don't sell the "combo" 16front 45 rear sprockets, and chain, in almost all "combos" the sell 16t and 530 chain, 43T rear, etc, I only want to know if that rear sprocket fit with a 520 chain

As it reads, the sprocket selection is good to go for a 520 chain. With a choice of a 16t front sprocket, you will want to get a 108 link count chain to ensure you have enough links. Stock is 106 iirc, but with that gearing you might want a 107 link count (cut a link out of a 108) depending on your rear tire size to give ample adjustment ranges.

The mechanic told me don't matter if the chain is 110 links, he can cut the chain to fit on the bike, the the size of the rear tyre is the "original" 130 I think 70 or 80, the rim is 17

He wants taller gearing than that. I've got 16x41t on my commuter. More relaxed and comfortable for hours on end at ave. traffic speed (faster than ave. track speed!).

You can also use JT JTR486.45 rear-sprocket as well: https://www.amazon.com.mx/JT-Sprocke...ords=jtr486.45

Already add that rear sprocket to the "shopping cart"

and i found the chain, but when i put with 108 links it says is not compatible with the bike, the only compatible is with 106 links, is correct the 106 links or the 108 links? that's only the last question, to buy the 2 sprockets and the chain

this is two options of chain (RK and DID)

https://www.amazon.com.mx/RK-Racing-...AZ6PBFG4P&th=1

https://www.amazon.com.mx/520-vx2gb-...+520+106+links

Production tolerances what they are, 16x45t fit at extreme forward end of adjuster slot on my street bike. Didn't fit on my race bike. Both 2008. Just get whatever chain-length is available, 110-L or so. Then cut at 108L first and test fit. Then go down to 106L if available.

Amazon "fit" is not guaranteed. It only shows combination they have actually tested. If they have not tested XYZ 106-L chain, they will list as "not compatible" even though ABC 106-L chain does fit. Same with bulbs. I bought bulbs for my CBR600RR last year. Only 1 bulb was listed as compatible. Remaining 20031 H7 bulbs were listed as "not compatible" ? That's correct bulb and I know any one of them would fit, but Amazon says "no". That's because they only tested 1 bulb, and not remaining 20031. They really need a 3rd classification that says "untested" rather than "not compatible".

I Agree with you about that problem with amazon, because in one vortex sprocket in list appear the ninja, and in the coments one guy told the sprocket don't fit on his ninja and appear in the list :/ that's why i ask you guys, because maybe the webpage is wrong and i know you guys know more from your ninjas than a webpage
