[kropotkin thinks...] - 2009 Le Mans MotoGP Race Result - Drying Track Produces Chaot

-----------------

Results of the MotoGP race at Le Mans:

The MotoGP race was run on a drying track, the riders leaving on rain tires. Lorenzo grabbed the lead on the first lap, and left the rest of the field behind. Pitting early for tires turned out to be a big mistake, riders who did so taking a long time before their slick tires could do times to match the fading wets. Valentino Rossi was first into the pits, and the biggest loser of the day, crashing after changing to slick tires, then remounting, going back into the pits for another bike, then a ride through, then switching bikes again.
