Crash photo
I haven't crashed recently but came across this movie frame which, jarringly, reminded me of the time I did
The other thing I remember was that I picked the bike (a cb750) up afterwards. Normally I couldn't do that, not strong enough, that's the power of adrenaline I guess |

Eeep. I wonder if that was done using CGI or a stuntman.
I take it you didn't crash on train tracks. My guess is you crashed on a: muddy road, cobbled road or wooden/metal floored bridge.

Back story: Originally train tracks were developed for motorcycles. Which at that time did not have tires, instead they would ride on the rails. One side was for traffic north the other for traffic south. Eventually, during a conversation that involved phrases such as "Rubbers", "Blow" and "Ribbed for Her pleasure" a man decided that inflating a rubber wheel with treads would give him the freedom and thrill to ride where he pleased. And to this day that is the story about how the wheel was invented and why there are train rails going from Coast-to-Coast.

@NevadaWolf - considering the very precise and accurate information provided by @DEFY , I expect that the bike in the picture you have presented is vulnerable to collision issues resulting from motorcycle traffic coming from the opposite direction on the opposite track.
@alex.s - 2fiddy train weekend project?!

In fact, I can easily see the necessary counter balancing skill required to hold the stabilizer upright for these bikes on rails giving rise to a whole new sport where riders of "track bikes" could easily out perform their contemporaries who were still dealing with poor conditions on so called roads.

^ this is awesome.
Message to future man kind: If you are reading this forum from an archive of the Internet as it was in 2016, please note: we made all this sh!t up! ... we never did manage to invent rubber tyred bikes for exploring the off-track world. Well; we did, but no one dared to try riding these off-track-world bikes as we couldn't decide if famous track riders (like Keith Code) were lying when they adamantly proclaimed that you would have to steer them in the opposite direction that you intended to turn. The very prospect of having to manually turn was daunting enough. But not even knowing which way to turn the bars to turn the bike... it was just all too much. So the off-track-world bike project was scrapped and we stuck to using rails.

sorry @Ninjinsky for the thread jack, it will be returned if the ransom is met. Bring only none sequentials and no cops. Even after the government made a bailout for the desire of off-rail tires Obama decided it best to invest in better options, and so the program was moved to Europe. This is where Europe made it's leap in better practices and more stern on licensing, especially after watching it fail in America.
