Sportisi hugger, help needed!

Hey, I bought a Sportisi hugger and tried to install it, but I was wondering if you should need to do anything with the brake lines/cables?

I was under the impression that I just needed to get 2 bolts on the swingarm cover, but when I did a testfit, it seemed like I would either have to disconnect the brake lines and maybe get some new ones abit longer around the outside of the swingarm cover, or make a cut in the swingarm cover for the brake line.

Has the guys at the dealer done anything strange assembling my brake lines, or is it supposed to be like this?

Asking because I dont want to cut if it can be avoided, and disassembling the rear brake system is not something I want to get myself into, I'm not good with that kinda stuff

If you have any tips or pics of your installation, please shout out!

I'm pretty sure you have to unbolt the rear caliper and turn it around so the hose loops "up" at the rear. Also I think you have to unfasten the line clamp on the swingarm, because that hole becomes the mounting point for the swingarm cover bracket on the right side. It's been a while since I put mine on, but I also installed braided stainless hoses afterwards...

Thanks guys, since I live in Norway, I ordered it directly from Sportisi, and there were no instructions included. But I must say I was very happy with the finish on the parts and the service I got!

Will PM you Matt!

I mailed abit with the Sportisi manager, and he sent me the manual and these video guides:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjOzaukpHgY

The problem now is that the mounting bracket for the right side was missing in my shipment, but Sportisi offered to send me one, so that's nice.

However i did a testfit of the swingarm cover, and it was really tight on my bike towards the front of the bike. Nothing like the simple sliding into place like in the video, so it cracked abit on the top, even though i took my time and was as careful as possible. Maybe its a slightly difference since my bike is a EU model. I guess the hugger will cover the cracks, so it's not a big problem, just abit annoying. Sportisi offered to send me a new one for free, if i pay shipping, but i guess i can make it work if i just get the bracket i'm missing.

I must say, awesome service from Sportisi!

I just emailed it to you again. The swingarm covers need special care with the install. If cracking does occur it usually isn't the cover itself but the paint.
