anyone have any experience with ebay saddle bags?
looking for bags on ebay on the cheap found a set
http://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWASAKI-NIN...3D141407053688 but I am wary. they seem universal and would probably fit on my 07. but i don't know if they can stand up to the task of my daily driving. I ride the bike to school and work everyday, about 40 miles altogether per day. |

Yes, be wary. They're in Italy and only $12 for shipping? I seriously doubt that's what the shipping costs will be. The set doesn't look like the quality is there either. I'd pass on these, and rather quickly.

If you are just looking for saddlebags, how about a small set of Wal-Mart bags?
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Classic-Ac...-Bags/10802875 The Paul Jr. branded set held up to me crossing the country twice, through desert heat and northeastern monsoons.

If you or know of someone handy, you could try what this member from another forum did:
I've been working on something else for the bike.* I like making things, and since I'm broke, saving money by doing it myself.* I altered a camera bag and made it into a magnetic tank bag.* Then altered two small coolers into saddle bags.* Total it cost me $30 bucks, and that was just for the bags themselves.* I used the straps from the coolers, a few pieces of an old rachet strap, and a small piece of bungee cord to secure them.* Used the inserts from the camera bag and sewed magnets in them.* The tank bag doesn't look the greatest, but it stays in place.* I wanted something small for my phone, gloves and helmet lock.* Hoping maybe next month to take a camping trip.* Some pics: [/quote]

You could check amazon as well. They have a pretty good selection of generic and name brand bags.

I personally use both RAPID TRANSIT & CHASE HARPER both are awesome and fit the bike, I also suggest eBay.
