Ninjette on Nikita

There is a corny tv show called Nikita that I sometimes watch. At the very start of the third episode of season 2, there's a Ninjette!! I uploaded the clip to megavideo for your viewing pleasure!

Hahahaha, I was gonna post this too but didn't want anyone to think I watched the show....

Doesn't sound like a ninjette exhaust though.

My friend's mom was watching it and I noticed it. I couldn't believe they'd use a 250 for a Fox (?) show.

I do like some of the corny shows that come out of America. Warehouse 13 is kinda fun too. I'm sure a brain cell of mine dies every time I watch one of these things.

As for the exhaust... they probably just tweaked the sound recording to make it sound grungier.

I'm sure they just played over it like they do for every vehicle scene ever (screeching tires when stopping/taking off, v8 sound on an econobox, downshifting on automatics, etc).

Neat

Yeah - they dub over most sounds used. Think they even added tiger growls to some car movie to make the car sounds aggressive

Wow, very cool.....and I'm not surprised they used a 250. From what I've heard from this community, the general public can't pick out a Ninja 250 from a 600. Add that with the low cost of a 250 and it was a good move for styling and budget.

That black Ninjette certainly seemed to play the part in the film.

There was a thread here on the practicality of carrying a gun on your bike. That rider certainly seemed to make it work! I noticed he wasn't wearing any gloves though

I think you're right. It definitely still sounds like a parallel twin, just a different tone. The most blatent dubbing of a ninja 250 exhaust is in Kill Bill Vol 2 when she's riding the yellow ZZR250. They kept the 250 sound, and added an inline 4 scream to it. not natural at all...

I can't believe this garbage show gets played in the UK. No offense, Akima, but this show is definitely nonsensical.
But I suppose it's a definite fair trade-off. We get the amazing Top Gear, while you guys can take your pick through our garbage TV shows. Win-win!
BTW, can you upload this clip on YouTube, please? My laptop's virus protection won't allow me to access the video. I want to hear how that Ninja sounds.

BTW, isn't there a member here by the name of NikkitaNinja or something down those lines? Before clicking on it, I thought this thread was about him!

Oh cool. I've seen Kill Bill, but I didn't notice a Ninjette. I didn't pay much attention to motorcycles back then.

There are some great shows made in the USA! Sons of Anarchy, True Blood and The Walking Dead, being 3 of them. Nikita is pretty rubbish, but I still get some enjoyment out of it. It's entertainment after all: something being corny doesn't necessarily make it boring. My favourite UK show is probably 'Jonathan Creek' They don't make it any more.

Why don't you turn off the internet security component that blocks websites silly! Turn it back on after you've watched the clip. The clip isn't amazing. Just nice to see our bike enjoying some Hollywood action!
