Attack of the Killer Bees

On a ride yesterday, I was hit in the face by a bee for the 12th time in this mostly rural country. I'm getting tired of wiping off my helmet and windscreen, and have developed a theory to explain these seemingly suicidal bees. This is it:

Pic isn't me - my gear is even more white. Green bike with my white gear makes me look like the pistol/stigma of a sugar cane flower to the dumb bees. I may just mark my helmet with little bee stickers for each kill (like fuselage markings when a pilot has downed an enemy plane).

At least you use regular visors, I went out in 05 when I got my first ninjette and popped like $80 bucks and shipping for these cool yellow and silver mirrored jobs. One, just one bee hit upper right of visor and slid to bottom left, scratching the coating off and ruining the mirrored one. The yellow was for early am. and evening riding, for increased visibilty, all them bugs got a piece of that one but no big bumblebee so I used it scratched up for a bit. Never bought another visor with that **** again, can't think of the name for them, even think the technology has changed as well. I go crystal clear now, and if the sun is low crystal clear with a band of tint. Always turn the coin over, I've caught oeone in the neck and though bee-stings don't bother me much this one one swelled and burnt like a mutha. Happy trails.

Just watched the dude crash his new gixxer, iridium, he had a visor like mine and it came back. Not worth the price people, or flowers. Real interesting logic.

2008 CP Blue has a strange effect on yellow jackets in the Fall. They are seriously attracted to it.
