Hello Kitty tank bag! (picture heavy)

I was walking through Wal-mart the other night on a mission to find a dvd that they did not have but I found this awesome Hello Kitty bag instead. I thought how cool would this be as a tank bag for my phone and mp3 player? So I bought it for $10 some magnets for ~$3 and used some fabric I already had and made this awesomeness. I sewed up this little pocket thing for the magnets. There are 16 magnets (3/4inch). You can kind of see the grid I sewed to keep them all in place.
Then I stitched the four corners and the middle part to the hello kitty bag. I took the strap off of the bag and also removed the back ears because they had metal eyelets and I didn't want it scratching up my tank.
It fits my phone and zune perfectly with some extra room. I took it for a test ride and it stays on like a dream.

So now you can all go running to Wally World and make your own awesome Hello Kitty tank bags!

I feel the need to make inappropriate comments about the position of Ms. Kitty.

Sanrio called: They want to sue. Even though the bag you paid for was properly licensed, they just don't like it when someone comes up with a Hello Kitty product that doesn't already exist as a licensed product.

helmet and miss kitty are both BA not gonna lie. i think having stuff like that on your gear and bike and making it unique is part of owning a bike to begin with. You get +10 interwebz miss mcnuggett

after i get back from at i want to get a monkey vinyl for the right side of my bike and i want the airforce star and canon logos (from kaneda's bike) for the left side. not cargo related but def personalizing related

Ha! Great tank bad!

I do wonder about the potential dangers of having these magnets so close to your electronics. Usually tank bags are made of materials a bit thicker than this one.

Hopefully, everything is safe

Mhh I was going to make a comment about magnets and electronics but looks like someone has beat me to it. Let me know if you have any issues with any of your electronics or cards with it being that close. I have one myself but i always put my furthest away from the evil erasers as I can just to be safe.
This post made me crack up juts saying lol. Once I wash my bike I'm putting Andy the android noming on an apple on the side of my bike

I know I'm the only one in the world who still owns and uses a zune, I just love it so much!

Also, there are sticky foam pieces on the backs of the magnets because they were self adhesive. The foam is about a quarter inch thick and the magnets aren't very big so the side facing my devices has no magnetic strength. That's a good point though, I'd be devastated if anything happened to my zune!

I guess im just a dick

That tank bag is adorable! Love the contrast between it and your badass all-black ninjette!

Not sure why everyone is talking about music players, but as we are... I have this:

It's a Sansa Clip+

I chose that picture so you can see how awesomely small it is. I've had it about a year now and it's still going strong and serving my daily, private, musical needs

Never tried a Zune before. I'd probably be happy with any player that has 5+ hours of battery life and doesn't require stupid software to be installed in order to drop your files on it... like the Creative Zen... which is stupid.
