2012 Red Ninja Photo

Hello,

My name is Brandon and I am getting a 2012 Ninja 250 in red this month.
I found this site about a year ago and have been browsing it a lot lately, so I decided to join.

I know that this is probably the wrong question to ask everyone on my first post, but what do you guys think of this pic? I'm not crazy about the two-tone so I was thinking of painting the front fender and the tail red.

The bike at the top of the page in the attached document is the one I like.

bmsteve, I personally think it looks alot better with the black tail and front fender, it makes the bike look sportier. I personally have a black 250r and love it, but no matter what you do its still a good looking bike

Don't judge it by their pics on the website. I hated the black 2012 decals from the pics on the website, but once I got the, they started growing on me. Granted, they're not on there anymore, but moral of this story is get the bike, have it for a while and then reassess it; you may end up actually coming to love the two tone. Just remember, the two tone does make it different from the other just all red bikes out there, and the other red Ninja 250s.

Oh, and I guess

Your bike is awesome. What type of rim tape do you have? And do you have any other pictures posted?

From the day I got her to present and pics of progress in between, I give you my pic whore thread! Enjoy. It's just reflective red tape, you can find it various different places from E-Bay, Motorcycle stores (Rev-Zilla, Motorcycle-Superstore, CycleGear), and decal companies.

Prices

How much should I pay for a 2012 ninja 250? I was quoted $5,139 o.t.d from a local dealer. I just want to make sure that I'm not getting ripped off.

good price compared to what we paid....

5600.00 each bike, out the door and this was on 2 bikes purchased at the same time...

but we did get 20% off anything in the store on the day we come to pickup the bikes, and a hour with their tech guy to tune the bikes for each rider, preload on rear shock and so on, oil and filter for the first oil change.

overall not a bad price, we were quoted more at other places, and with no other discounts on anything.

Apparently there is not a huge profit for the dealers on these bike so very little wiggle room that they can offer

Keep in mind, this is in Canada....

Thanks. This is probably a dumb question, but how many months out of a year do you actually get to ride in Canada?
