WTH?!?! Vent here...

So... I had to get this off my chest!

I was warming up my bike and my friend thought it would be cool to sit on it. Well, I had my helmet on the passenger seat and as he kicked his leg over, he knocked my helmet off and it hit the ground! I was pissed! I mean, how do you deal with that? It's kinda like, you have a new car and you get a door ding or scratch on the new paint!

He is a really close friend and I kinda let it blow over... he did apologize. It's just that he accidentally kicked my helmet off the bike and it hit the ground! Luckily it was just a cheapy full faced helmet that I use as a passenger helmet or when I just wanna ride down the block to get something from the corner store or something. But still...

I don't know if I'm overreacting but I like to take good care of my belongings and that was a new helmet...

Oh well... got anything you wanna get off your chest???

I have no lawn here in the city... but there are a lot of homeless people that wander the streets. I would hate if one of them pooped in the driveway. LoL!

make em replace it and give him the one he kicked. ive done it, when i got my bike i let all my friends know. you break it you buy it, i have had 2 of them drop my good helmet and both have replaced parts on it. one tried to bitch about it and i said let me see your phone, now if i drop this phone and the screen breaks what happens? he said you will replace the phone! i said exactly... he later apologized for acting like an asshole and order the piece.

i think you gotta let your friends know how much some of this stuff costs. they probably dont think a helmet can be 500$ show em on line let them that know they will replace it if they break it so they dont act careless around it. it would be the same thing if a friend broke a phone, tv, lawnmower etc...

you didnt say "hey dave sit on my bike!" so its not your responsibility, he is a big boy, so he can act like it.

Lol come'on @Dino415, helmets are supposed to hit the ground . Now, if he sat on your bike put it down, than we'd have reason to slap him up

@7oxSin: I like the comparison of the phone thingy... I'll have to use that!

I had so much fun riding on the freeway this past Sunday, I friggin' ran out of gas!

Had to push my bike off the freeway again! This is becoming a bad habit... LoL! Luckily, there was a gas station right off the freeway exit!

you keep your bike on reserve? any time i run out i just flip to reserve give it a few mins to let the fuel flow on the kick stand then start her up and pray i can make it to a gas station.

i think it was on here, we had a talk about a year ago about carrying xtra fuel in one of those metal canteen bottles something like this,

it would hold enough fuel to get you to a gas station. and you can get em for like 1-5$

now some companies make em just for gas like these, MSR fuel bottles, at 20$ a pop.

Gurk beat me to "don't leave your helmet sitting on the reat seat".

But I DO like that gasoline bottle idea... It's like a little micro-gerry can for bike trips.
