Talk about throwing a wrench in my plans...

So I know I like the 6R and the 675, but I was looking at some bikes at the dealer where I went to pick up my carb sync kit.

One of the bikes happened to be a V-Rod. OMG...that thing is the most comfortable bike I have ever sat on in my life. It has 700 miles on it and they want 11,500. Not bad at all.

I may need to REALLY think about what bike I want to get next.

I also sat on a Kawi Versys, and wow, that is really comfy too. My 34" inseam is long enough to plant the balls of my feet on each side (hint, you gotta be tall to ride this thing).

I did notice a 2007 ZX6R with 200 miles on it for 7600.

It's that whole "what do I plan on doing the most" thing that I'm debating over.

I'd love to race, but I could always use the 250 for that. I'd love to take trips, but my wife is on the edge as it is with my owning a bike. I'll have to sit and think long and hard over this. If I could I'd go out and buy a ZX6R, V-Rod, Versys, KLR650 and call it a day.

Man, if you're having trouble deciding between a sport bike and a cruise, you DO have problems. lol

(not implying either is better but they're totally different.)

I rode a few V-Rods and I agree with you. They are very comfortable. They also have great power and handle like a sport bike.

Even if your choices are between a Triumph and a Kawasaki...

It's hard to come across a bad bike nowadays, but each is so different. Find out what you want then narrow it down to brand/model. We can't be comparing Ducati's to Harley's now.

Talk about temptation...that is cheap. And it looks better than an 09 anyway.

That is the thing. I know I like a sportbike. I know sportbikes are one of the least comfortable bikes on the planet. I just know if I plan on riding for hours, something like a Versys or V-Rod would be perfect. Yet the only time that happens is when I am off of work and my wife is at work. So I may just end up going the sportbike route.

WHY CAN'T I JUST WIN THE LOTTO?!?!?!?!?!!!?!????

I looked briefly at a Versys when I was out shopping for a stealership this week, and I was surprised at how tall that thing is. It's a cool looking bike!

I figured it would have squatted some more when I sat down on it, but it didn't. For some reason I really like it.

As a former owner of a 6RR---Think Scalpel, you will do everything at the edge...

As a former test rider of the V-Rod---Think Japanese Fighting Fish, cool and casual until you throw down

Versys-you know that utility knife in the top of your tool box that is not quite sharp, but gets the job done....

I sat on a Versys a while back. I really liked the way it felt.
